We went to the salon for the first time for my teenage son's haircut and I would like to say my son was very happy with his haircut. Mita did a fantastic job! She is very professional and made sure she understood the type of haircut my son needed. She made him comfortable and ensured she was checking with him as and when she progressed with the hair cut. My son was glad we went to her. Thank you very much!

It was my first time going here and Meetha took care of my waxing and hair cutting and styling. She gave me honest feedback and was very helpful my entire time spent there. She is very sweet and great at her job. I will definitely be coming to see her again.

I have been going to Mita for many years. As another client said, the Cutting Edge Salon is as hidden gem in Central Jersey that is a must for several reasons:

Mita is a total professional.

Haircare: She will first assess the health of your hair. When I first walked in, I had long hair that had been damaged by a perm. She told me straight up that she needed to take off length, which, of course, I didn’t want to hear. She asked that I trust her and promised she would make my hair healthy; and that is exactly what she did. She suggested a hair treatment to moisturize which was so helpful. And from then on, through perms, coloring, highlighting, and cut/style my hair has remained soft, shiny and healthy.

Waxing: Areas are completely smooth and she applies lotion to make sure there is no Irritation.

Facials: OMG She does a wonderful job. Soothing music is playing in the background. She is great, starting with deep cleaning pores. This is followed by an amazing facial massage. She has a soft, calming touch, and makes you feel wonderful. My most recent was yesterday. Sigh! Fabulous!

A Side Note: I was diagnosed with cancer almost a year ago. When my hair started falling out due to chemo, Mita and I talked about what we should do. I knew I wanted it off, and she agreed. We both cried together as she was shaving my head. We talked about what I should do to help enable my hair to come back strong, including shaving whatever continued to grow. After chemo stopped the hair started to grow back, she advised to shave it twice more, to help the growth process. It’s coming back slowly and noticeably thicker than if I had let it just come in. I really appreciate her being part of the process.

I know that I wasn’t her first illness related hair loss, and she was so comforting and direct at the same time. She’s experienced loss in her own family and understands the stress on the individual and the family. She has helped my husband during this time, and he is now a regular customer.

As previously mentioned, making an appointment will be the best way to go to Cutting Edge. This enables Mita to completely focus on you alone. Since Covid, she has been working by herself, and she seems to manage her time and clients admirably.

Perfect, quick and excellent work. I visited here for my hair cut. Better to take appointment. I have tried a couple before hitting this place. Yes, my search is over.

I have tried haircuts at lot of places in and around area with no satisfaction at all. Tried cutting edge and my search is over. Very beautifully done hair cut, blow dry, great customer service. Must go. I read reviews about not taking people walk in, bug i like her way of not hiring more people to do earn money and do things herself and such work needs appointment and planning. This shoes she is organized. Only 1 person working was another complaint in review, my take on that is - i like it. Only 1 person means she wants to give the best to all. I like to make appointment and not waste my and their time. If i walk in, i take a risk of being turned down because i am taking someone else’s place. I guess both points are positives and not negatives. I strongly recommend her if u like good service

Mita is an amazing hard working woman. She knows her job really well, managing her saloon alone in this tough time is not easy and she is doing it superbly. In less then 25 mins she gave hair cut to my 6 year old son n me that too flawless, the way we wanted. Definitely go to person and place for saloon services
