Quick Facts About Crockstead Farm Hotel

Crockstead Farm Hotel is a guesthouse located in a picturesque setting surrounded by nature. One of its strengths is its attentive staff, who strive to accommodate guest requests and make their stay perfect. The hotel offers a range of rooms to choose from, including suites, and provides a fantastic breakfast for guests. The bar area is also pleasant, and guests appreciate the efforts of Ross and his team.
The hotel's location in beautiful and quiet surroundings is another strength. Guests enjoy the presence of freely wandering peacocks and horses being taken for walks during breakfast. This natural setting creates a relaxed atmosphere and allows guests to feel completely at ease.
One guest highlights the hotel's suitability for social gatherings, particularly mentioning a birthday celebration they attended. The barn was tastefully decorated, and the attentive and helpful staff ensured a great experience. The hotel also has a large yard and a pond with ducks, adding to the picturesque setting.
However, the hotel does have some weaknesses that guests have pointed out. The price-quality ratio is mentioned as a concern, as some guests feel that the hotel is too expensive. Additionally, one guest notes that the bed in their room was very hard, and there were noisy peacocks nearby. They also mention the absence of a hairdryer and the use of instant coffee for breakfast. Another guest mentions that the bathroom heating could not be adjusted, resulting in an uncomfortable experience.
In terms of the rooms, one guest mentions that their room was slightly tired and in need of some maintenance. However, they also note that the room was quiet and had adequate facilities.
Despite these weaknesses, the hotel receives positive reviews overall. Guests appreciate the beauty of the surroundings and the helpfulness of the staff. One guest highly recommends the hotel and mentions the cute room and the helpfulness of the staff.
On the other hand, one guest had a negative experience with their room. They were initially shown to the wrong room, which had a disgusting ensuite bathroom with mould and cracked tiles. After requesting to be moved to the correct room, they found the shower door to be dirty and rusty. They also mention that the room had very low-wattage bulbs, making it extremely dark. Additionally, they note that breakfast was poorly supplied and that there was a lack of butter, marmalade, and extra tea, coffee, and toast. They also had concerns about the hotel's overall condition and the need for modernization.
In conclusion, Crockstead Farm Hotel has several strengths, including its attentive staff, beautiful surroundings, and pleasant atmosphere. However, there are some weaknesses, such as concerns about the price-quality ratio, issues with room conditions, and lack of attention to detail in the breakfast service. Despite these weaknesses, the hotel still receives positive reviews from many guests who appreciate its unique charm and helpful staff.

We come back here every year on cricket tour and its one of the nicest social accommodations I've ever stated in. There are lots of rooms, including suits, to choose from, with a fantastic breakfast included. The bar area is very pleasant and Ross and his staff will do anything to make your stay perfect. A must visit.
Absolutely beautiful & quiet surroundings. Peacocks wondering around freely. Horses being taken for a walk all whilst we were having breakfast. Food was lovely too. Definitely recommend if you're looking to be in a natural setting & wanting to feel totally relaxed.
I was invited to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were in the barn which was tastefully decorated. We sat around round tables. The staff was attentive and helpful. Outside, there is a big yard useful for summer parties and a pond with ducks at the side of the main building. A very picturesque setting.
Great little hotel in a quiet location surrounded by acres of land where if you have a dog or dogs they can ramble free being aware there are other animals around too though.
We stopped here for a night during a journey from North Wales to Spain and a nice evening was spent in the small but cosy and quaint resteraunt where we obtained a lovely meal.
Staff at the hotel were fantastic and everything we asked for was provided and we were well catered for.
The reason for four stars and not five is due to the room we stayed in being slightly tired and in need of some TLC, but saying that the room was quiet and facilities adequate.
Stayed at the hotel for one night, the surrounding was very beautiful. The room was cute, unfortunately we didn't spend a lot of time in the room as we went out to see the local attractions. We did however have breakfast the night after our stay. The staff were very helpful throughout our stay. Would highly recommend this hotel.
After we checked in, the room we were shown to was room 1, although at booking we were told it would be room 12. The ensuite in room 1 was disgusting. Mould on the walls of the shower and cracked tiles. We asked to be move to the room we were told we would have, room 12. Again, the shower door was disgusting and very rusty. Also, the very low wattage bulbs made the room extremely dark. The breakfast was cooked beautifully but because there was only one, very polite gentleman taking breakfast orders, checking guests out and answering the phone, the table was poorly supplied. No butter or marmalade available, no extra tea, coffee or toast offered. The gentleman that checked us out could not understand why were shown to room 1 as it has been closed for a week. The hotel is in need of serious modernisation as it appears and feels as if it is being run on a shoe. After discussions with the owner, the gentleman was put in difficult situation of using his own discretion regarding a discount.
