The food is fine although a tad cold and the honey chili chicken was a little spicier than I'm used to but the real issue is the delivery, I phoned at 5 for a delivery and they said their deliveries start at 6 which is cool. fast forward to half 7 and no food so I call them and they say the driver was late into work hes just got there and will be leaving with deliveries shortly so that's fine, I made my order pretty early and I live 5 minutes away surely he is going to be here any minute right?.. nope.. food comes at 20 to 9, honestly if they'd just told me on the phone at half 7 they were having major issues I'd of asked to go collect it.
Absolute disgrace. Ordered food last Sunday, it was £18.80 off just eat, then a girl from China town rang me and said if she puts it through delivery and pay at the door it's only £14.50. So I agreed to this and she ensured me she cancelled the just eat and I won't be charged. I noticed on wendesday that the money has still came out of my account and I paid at the door. So I paid £33.30 for a Chinese that was stinking! I rang the restaurant to explain, and the man was beyond rude told me he was "too busy to deal with this" he also said he would ring me back 2 days ago and I'm still waiting. The way I was spoken to was a disgrace and the food was a disgrace. Absolute scam!!!!!!!!
Second order in a row that has been unsuccessful. First one in November had to be cancelled on Just Eat by us because it wasn't accepted after an hour. Tonight's was cancelled by the restaurant. Customer lost for good. Absolute joke to offer online services then leave customers disappointed.
Not a great experience when we got it delivered through Just Eat. Took very long to arrive and the food was just warm. My chips were also covered in peas, gravy and onions which i did not ask for. Menu on the app doesnt allow for any options and what you get is what you get. Will definitely visit to order in the future
Ordered a delivery for my mother in law at 5.20pm and she only lives 5 min from the restaurant and they told me delivery driver would not be in until 6.30pm which was fine I explained that my mother in law is diabetic and asked would it definitely be delivered at 6:30 pm to which they said it defo would be out 1st delivery so I thanked the lady on the phone and told my mother inlaw it would be delivered by no later than 6.45pm only to find at 7.00pm that the food still had not arrived and my mother inlaws sugar level was so low that she had to then eat 2 buns quickly to raise her sugar level and I phoned the china time and was told it would be leaving in 10 min so my mother in law patiently waited and then at 7 30 her sugar shot right up to 31 I tried to call the Chinese back to then cancel the food but the phone was constantly engaged rhe food finally arrived at 7.50pm. I'm very Disappointed in the service here ???? to keep someone waiting 2 and a half hours is an absolute disgrace if they had told us in the 1st place how busy they were we would have tried somewhere else will never get from this Chinese again.
First thing I look for in any sort of takeaway is the Scores on the doors & the score at China Time has a 5, big plus for hygiene, clean waiting area inside and you can more or less see your food being cooked, the guys wear masks and gloves while cooking your food so that's another plus, the only negative for me is that they don't do set meals, with 6 people at home it's difficult to please everyone, but if they had set meals for 2/3/4 people they could have tried a little bit of everything, one other negative is that other Chinese takeaways in the Antrim area where you spend a certain amount they give you a free bag of prawn crackers as a courtesy, not China Time, I spent nearly £40 and didn't receive any at all, but the food was tasty and if they changed the negatives I've pointed out, no doubt that they would be the best Chinese takeaway in the Antrim Area.
China Time is fantastic. You can see into the kitchen at the back. Rik on the counter always has a smile for customers. The food is very good - I tender to get the crispy smoked chicken because it is delicious and very more-ish, but I've also tried the honey pepper beef and chicken and they are just as nice. My husband says the barbecue spare ribs are awesome. Highly recommended, will definitely eat there again.
Delivery took a bit longer than I was told. Have to say however this was the only issue. After eating out of 3-4 places they have nothing on this place. Not greasy, warm on arrival and just well made. Keep up the good work ????

Quick Facts About China Time

China Time is a Chinese restaurant located in an area called China Town. While it has some strengths, such as its hygiene rating and friendly staff, it also has several weaknesses that impact its overall customer experience.
One strength of China Time is its hygiene rating. The commenter mentions that they look for the "Scores on the doors" when choosing a takeaway, and China Time has a rating of 5, indicating a high standard of cleanliness. Additionally, the commenter notes that the waiting area inside the restaurant is clean and that they can see their food being cooked. This creates a sense of transparency and reassurance for customers.
Another strength mentioned by a different commenter is the quality of the food. They mention that the crispy smoked chicken is delicious and very more-ish, and their husband raves about the barbecue spare ribs. This suggests that China Time puts effort into creating tasty and well-prepared dishes.
However, there are several weaknesses highlighted by multiple commenters that detract from China Time's customer experience. One major issue is the delivery service. One commenter mentions that they called at 5 pm for a delivery and were told that deliveries start at 6 pm, which was acceptable. However, their food didn't arrive until 20 to 9, despite living just 5 minutes away. This indicates a significant delay and a lack of communication from the restaurant. Another commenter also had a similar experience with a delayed delivery, where they were told the delivery driver would arrive at 6:30 pm but didn't receive their food until 7:50 pm. This kind of delay is frustrating, especially when the restaurant fails to communicate the delay effectively.
Additionally, there are issues related to customer service and billing. One commenter recounts a situation where they were charged more than the agreed-upon amount for their order. They explain that the restaurant assured them that the charge would be lower if they paid at the door, but they were still charged the higher amount. When they called to complain, they were met with rudeness from the restaurant staff and never received a promised callback. This reflects poorly on the professionalism and customer service of China Time.
Another commenter mentions that they had two unsuccessful orders with China Time in a row. The first order had to be canceled after an hour of not being accepted on the Just Eat platform, and the second order was canceled by the restaurant itself. This indicates a lack of reliability and suggests that the restaurant may struggle with managing their online delivery service effectively.
Other weaknesses mentioned include issues with the temperature of the food upon delivery, incorrect order items, and a lack of set meal options for larger groups. These factors contribute to a less-than-optimal dining experience for customers.
In conclusion, while China Time has strengths in terms of hygiene and the quality of their food, they have several weaknesses that impact their overall customer experience. Issues with delivery time, communication, customer service, billing, and incorrect orders consistently mentioned by commenters can significantly impact a customer's perception of the restaurant. These factors, along with the lack of set meal options and complimentary items like prawn crackers, create a negative impression of China Time and may result in customers seeking alternatives in the future.
