Best PlaceJuice Reviews

This was my first time at Café D'Jaconelli & I asked for a Tuna, Cheese & Onion Toastie & the picture below is the end result from an established cafe in the West End of Glasgow ????
Mind you, it was extremely busy when I placed my order, but this was prepared with no care or love! ???? What I received was a dogs dinner to the T ???? Absolutely disgusting ???? Better yet, it was grotesque! ????
I am sorry. I am so sorry. I apologise – wholeheartedly – if anyone is extremely offended by this review as most people are regulars but an opinion is an opinion & I am entitled to my opinion ????
Had the best big breakfast ever, went down a treat. Great atmosphere and the customer service was second to none. Very reasonably priced too. I didn't have any room to fit in a knickerbocker glory but I will do next time. If you've never been, you gotta try this wee gem of a place
You would be wrong to go to a place like Jaconelli's expecting top quality food, but you would be right if you went expecting good value for money and a trip back in time for a glimpse of the Glasgow of old. The chips are of the old-fashioned but tasty 'as granny used to make' variety, if you can get over them being cooked in a fryer with chicken burgers. The macaroni cheese is also very tasty, and I hear they also do a mean breakfast. The staff are down to earth and great with customers. The ice cream, however, is the clear star of the show in my humble opinion.
If you don't like sharing a table with another group, then this is probably not the place for you – but if you want authenticity and a trip down memory lane, this is the place to go.
I have loved this cafe for decades. Best ice cream and breakfast rolls. The lassies are just a pure joy and the cook at the back is dead nice ????
Old school cafe. Beautiful art deco interior. Good quality and well priced food. Didn't try the famous ice cream sundaes. Will do that next time.
Food here is excellent friendly staff, amazing ice cream and full breakfast is fab
Good breakfast, with amazing retro interior full of character. They also sell a huge selection of classic sweets and ice cream.
Ordered a cheese burger and chips with cheese and gravy. Waited over half an hour burger was mediocre and some of the chips only half cooked. People who came in after me were serve and given their food before me.

Quick Facts About Café D'Jaconelli

Café D'Jaconelli has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, the café has received positive feedback regarding its breakfast options. One customer mentioned having the "best big breakfast ever," indicating that the food quality and taste are commendable. Another customer praised the friendly staff and the excellent full breakfast. This suggests that the café provides a good dining experience and a satisfying breakfast menu.
The atmosphere of Café D'Jaconelli is also highlighted as a strength. A customer mentions that it has a great atmosphere and another mentions the beautiful art deco interior. This suggests that the café has a unique and nostalgic ambiance, giving customers a trip down memory lane and an authentic experience.
Reasonable pricing is another strength of Café D'Jaconelli. One individual mentioned that it is very reasonably priced, indicating that customers can enjoy good food without breaking the bank. This is likely appealing to both locals and tourists looking for value for their money.
Additionally, Café D'Jaconelli is praised for its ice cream. Several comments mention the amazing ice cream and ice cream sundaes, with one customer labeling it as the clear star of the show. This indicates that the café excels in producing delicious ice cream, which may be a draw for customers looking for sweet treats.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one customer expressed dissatisfaction with their order, particularly a Tuna, Cheese & Onion Toastie. They described it as a "dog's dinner" and "absolutely disgusting." This comment suggests that the café may have inconsistency issues in terms of food preparation and quality control.
Another comment mentions the wait time for food. The individual states that they waited over half an hour for a cheeseburger and chips with cheese and gravy, which they found mediocre. They also noticed that other customers who arrived after them were served and received their food earlier. This suggests that the café may struggle with managing high volumes of customers efficiently, resulting in long wait times and potential inconsistencies in food delivery.
Furthermore, sharing tables with other groups is noted as a potential downside by one customer. They mention that if someone prefers not to share a table, Café D'Jaconelli may not be the ideal place for them. This indicates that the café might have limited seating options, leading to table sharing and potential discomfort for some customers.
In conclusion, Café D'Jaconelli has strengths in terms of its breakfast options, friendly staff, nostalgic atmosphere, reasonable pricing, and renowned ice cream. However, weaknesses are apparent in the inconsistency of food quality and preparation, potential long wait times, and limited seating options. Despite these weaknesses, the café seems to have a loyal customer base that appreciates its authenticity and history.
