Absolutely amazing Full English breakfast! We visit often. Don't be put off by the building, it's a bit tired looking, however the food more than makes up for it! Reasonably priced, fantastic and friendly staff, definitely one to visit.

The place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what there doing and what they are talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is in there priority, food is pretty good, the best cafe in rayleigh. Highly recommended!!

I came here about 15 years ago and it was one of the worst cafes ever, but I've been a few times more recently and it's now one of the best cafes in the area with good quality ingredients and nice staff. The menu is good too.

Been going to brookside cafe for many years now ,always 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ service, T is always happy ???? very friendly and always welcomes you when you arrive, alma the cook is exactly the same ,food is always freshly cooked with high standard of food, the place is always spotless would highly recommend always open on bank holidays and over Xmas period, keep up the good service T & alma ????

Fantastic food and value for money excellent staff, my favourite cafe, steak pie and mash is home made and totally brilliant, big portions of quality food, the pig out breakfast highly recommended along with the hot chocolate

It does the job. Pie crust was unbelievably tough like cardboard and the lady behind the counter was on the phone when i came in. It took her a good few moments to put it down and serve me. Serving didn't seem high on her to-do list.
