I was referred to Bogard's by a friend a number of years ago after using the same stylist for years elsewhere. I was looking for guidance and something different. I've been very happy with this salon and because I often procrastinate in making appointments, I generally take whomever is available. Every stylist has been wonderful and I have always left feeling good, looking better and happy. Highly recommend Bogard's.
My review is extremely overdue, by pretty much a year. I was going to let it go and not write a review, but I really want people to know my experience and whenever someone asks me about my hair I have to explain to them what happened and it enrages me. Let me start off by saying that I take some fault in this. I should not have decided to change my hair color so close to my wedding. I should not have let the colorist put color on the length of my hair when I only asked for my roots and I should bot have settled for the response that I received.
That being said, I had Sage doing my hair and she is lovely, but she did not feel confident on selecting color so she kept asking for help. I came in with what I will call strawberry light brown hair. I wanted it a tad darker and my roots to blend. Sage asked for help a few times and then came over to color my roots and then eventually the ends of my hair in what was a very dark salon. When I left I was thrilled, it was exactly what I wanted. I got so many compliments!
A week goes by and I notice a lot of fading, specifically around my roots. I sent an email and they tell me to come in for a touch up. Great! Sage asks for more assistance and after mixing color together puts it on the full length of my hair. I am confused, but she is the professional, right? Sage begins to tell me that the previous dye she used was semi-permanent and that's why it faded, but this time we would use permanent. Long story short, I leave and my hair is so dark brown it looks black and my roots, you guessed it- still not colored to match my hair.
I sent another email to the salon. We are maybe 4-5 days from my wedding at this point. The response I receive back- wash it. Yep. Just wash it a ton. It'll fade. However, I had what the cosmetologists like to call "hot roots". I had to call my cousin crying asking what I should do to fix my hair. She gave me advice and while my roots still looked awful in pictures, they were not nearly as bad as when I left this place. I will never in my life return to this place. I don't recommend it. I would say avoid at all cost.
Sage did a excellent job at cutting my hair I would definitely go back there
I went to Bogards because I was looking for a stylist who was good working with curly hair. I was pointed to Sage. She was fantastic and definitely go back to her again!

Because Since I left Bogards Hair Salon I feel better. Been down and out for 8 months, but Brian Roland made me look 5 years Younger. Great team, and love the location around Longmeadow for easy in and out parking.

Brian did an excellent job, is very knowledgeable, and very fun! The salon is very pretty as well. My only complaint would be that the girls at reception didn't seem very receptive or interested in greeting customers.
I visited Bogards for the first time yesterday morning and I will definitely be back! My appointment was with Sage and she was super sweet! I love that we were able to chat while she was doing my hair--I look for this in a stylist because I think it's awkward when it's quiet. She asked me several times if she could get me anything like coffee, water, or magazines, and if I was comfortable enough, which I appreciated. She did a wonderful job with my hair. I asked her to match my old dull red color to my roots so that way my hair could just grow out. It looks great! She also cut off a couple inches of split ends so much hair looks healthy again. Plus, the price was awesome! I'm really pleased. Can't wait to go back. Thank you Sage!
