This is our chippy of choice in Stamford. Lovely food, consistent standards, decent choice, good service, reasonable prices.

During Covid, 1 person allowed in the shop at a time, mask required.

(Oh and please don't lean on the counter.)

We had fish last night the chips were lovely but the fish must have been there all day it was dry batter was tough it was awful. The dog enjoyed. I would have taken it back if we lived in Stamford

Absolutely amazing. Best chicken nuggets I've ever had and best fish and chip shop value for money that I have ever had.

Fish so small I might as well have had fish fingers also so much grease I could start my own chippy. Chips were green with black bits. I will not call in again

The fish and chips are the best in Stamford. They use good old fashioned beef dripping to cook in so the nostalgic taste of yesteryear is kept. Not suitable for vegetarians or vegans but the flavour is out of this world. It's like you are at the seaside, miles and miles inland. The fish is so fresh too. If you want amazing fish and chips, go to Birdys!

Got Haddock & chips with scraps. The fish was so meaty & tasty with nice crispy batter & great chips and when I got home it was still very hot. The staff are friendly & polite. Will go back again.
