I am disappointed with the pricing, lack of equipment working during my visit (being charged the same price for a service that was not fully serviced to me), lack of communication with the owner, etc. It has been three months since my appointment, and I honestly regret the drive from Queens and the money I spent because I did not receive the service I paid for. I support Black Owned Businesses (I purchased products, vitamins, and her book while there), but these Black Business Owners need to service and treat their customers better. This was a COMPLETE waste of money, tolls, mileage, and my time. I am suffering from hair loss, and she did nothing to help me with that. Never again!

Andrea is an excellent , knowledgeable and gifted stylist! I absolutely LOVE my haircut. She took the time to explain what she was doing and continuously asked for my input to ensure I received the style that I envisioned. Her staff are friendly, accommodating and professional and the overall vibe of the salon and experience was very positive! I shall be returning soon!

A wonderful experience for my hair! The best thing about Beauty For Ashes is Andrea gives you tips and product recommendations on how to care for your hair AFTER you leave the salon! We all know maintenance is the key to your best hair and she sets you up to succeed.

Her price point is higher than other places I’ve been but a visit with Andrea is the treat I give myself and feel great about it later!

I've been a Beauty for Ashes client for quite some time. My journey to Beauty for Ashes started with hair loss. I went feeling cynical and knowing they wouldn't have answers and boy was I wrong. I actually ended up stopping the regimen that was recommended by my dermatologist. It was not working at all. Andrea was able to do microscope exams and show me what was going on with my scalp and then help me develop a regimen that stopped the hair loss and retrain me to keep my hair healthy and strong. In 2016, I had patches thinning and whole areas that refuse to grow. I am proud to say that going to Beauty for Ashes Salon was the best decision I ever made regarding my hair. I have never been to a salon like this that puts hair Health ahead of style and everything else. We are continued customers. She has also taken on teaching me a comprehensive regimen for how to take care of my daughter's hair and sees her quarterly as well for Trims and checkups. Andrea offers services that are both healthy and educational. And truly wants what's best for your healthy hair Journey. She is also a very talented stylist and will help you incorporate the look you are going for while keeping your hair Health at the Forefront. I recently moved to the area and had previously gone to a curly hair stylist. I found Beauty for Ashes online and chose them based on the raving reviews. Andrea took great care of me and my hair - I appreciated her attention to detail and expertise. She gave me some great recommendations on how to improve my curl care and how to keep my hair low maintenance but healthy. I’ll be back!
