The gravy is nicer than nanas.
Chips are on point. Nice, plentiful not too soft and not too hard.
The Chinese food is sometimes all right buy mostly its not. The people as always are quite sullen. I put this down to the language barrier. Probably unfair to say as I go for food not to socialise.
Received the wrong order I ordered wings ribs chicken pieces ect, i received chicken NUGGETS mini sausage things samosas Nothing I asked for or paid for.Called back to be told it's a mis communication and there is nothing they could do, I asked if I could leave my number for management to ring back tomorrow to be told yes, then the boss doesn't want to speak to you bye and hung up, I wasn't rude didn't raise my voice just explained the error.
Placed an order via website. When it came to checkout there was an error and it said they order couldn't be processed. Switched to deliveroo and successfully placed the order.
When the driver came he had 2 orders as the original one did go through. Checked the bank and 2 payments had been charged. Tried to contact the store but no answer.
Called the next day. Was told I should have refused the delivery. The driver did not advise this. They can't offer a refund as the food was accepted. Why they didn't think that 2 identical orders to the same address within 3 minutes was an error is beyond me.
Rude woman on the phone.
Paid over £50 for a £24 meal which quite honestly wasn't even nice.
First & last visit ! Woman serving was not very friendly. She could have smiled and made me feel welcome, she was happy to take my money !! .....I ordered Crispy King Prawns in Cantonese Sauce with big soft noodles the
prawns were not crispy they were covered in a soggy batter and the sauce tasted llike sweet and sour sauce.....way too sweet. Not worth £10.......Jade Garden is far better
Always go Barton oriental by far best Chinese around food is always delicious and the staff are lovely and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. 5 stars from me????????????????????
the prawn toast I ordered was all dried and burnt! Not worth the £5 odd for it as there didn't see to be any prawns in there either.....very disappointed will be trying somewhere else next time.
Have had food from this takeaway before and has always been very good. A couple of weeks ago we ordered salt and pepper spare ribs, large spring rolls and Singapore vermicelli.
The spare ribs were that well done I rang to complain and they sent another, equally bad replacement by the way I have never complained before about any other take away
Thinking that it was just one of those nights we ordered the same meal again....my word ALL of the meal was inedible and I will never ever order from the BARTON ORIENTAL again.
If they have changed their staff they better sort it out quickly or they will go out of business.
TERRIBLE!!! Didn't get what I ordered, at least it was nothing like what was advertised, chicken fried rice had next to no egg, and absolutely no vegetables at all, the "spicy Thai chicken" was literally frozen breaded chicken fillet covered in sweet and sour sauce. I got a slice OF a slice of prawn toast in the mixed platter. Wasted my money. Never going here again.
