I've been here a couple times, but the last three times I've come by during stated shop hours, they are closed. Well, perhaps he is observing Columbus Day. The voicemail states otherwise. 3rd time is the final straw for me. I'm going to that fancy barber up the street on Ashlan.
If you are looking for a real barber shop this is a place for you. The the gentleman who cut my hair was very polite and knew what he was doing. He has been cutting hair for a long time and can give you exactly what you ask for. Prices are decent a little high but the service is excellent.
I visited Ruben's place about a month ago. It was busy, but educational. I watched him cut several people's hair. He's a good Barber. I would definitely go back and get my hair cut there!

Ruben is always welcoming and very friendly. I don't like going anywhere else for a haircut. Also his haircuts are reasonably priced compared to big name places like Supercuts.
Ruben is the man, I definitely like getting my hair cut by him. He friendly , nice shop, great conversation and prices are great. Definitely stole me away from the shop I was going to on shields and west.
Ruben Rios is the owner as well as the primary barber. He always gives excellent customer service and goes above and beyond. He's been cutting my family's hair for many years.
Got a good haircut at clean place, very pleased ????, he did a little extra, trim my beard & eye browse, feel 15yrs younger, ready to go beaver hunting
