Best PlaceJuice Reviews
Bryan Lugo is a master of his art, and a super nice guy. He arranged cuts for all my groomsmen and took care of me and my best man himself.
The most amazing barber I've ever been too. So unique and authentic
Awesome atmosphere and the barbers were very polite, but the services are overpriced IMO. I had my hair cut by Alfie himself- he was nice and asked what I was looking for. I told him I wanted a fade, but stressed that my goal was to keep growing out the top. He gave me a great fade and styled my hair but did absolutely nothing to clean up the top. It took him less than 30 minutes to fade my hair and style the top, and the cost was 30 dollars before tip. He didn’t use a straight razor at all to clean up any lines, and overall I feel that there was a lack of attention to detail. I’ve been to plenty of boutique barber shops, and for 30 dollars I expected more.

This review was for Alfie's Barber shop. Started charging 25 bucks for a guy's haircut back in 2018.
Used to be a good place but latley customer service seems to be heading down hill. Also, about a year ago, the price for a haircut went up to $25. They use a checkout app that 'suggests' tip amounts of 10,15 and 20 percent. If you're paying close to 40 bucks for a men's haircut, you had better be getting damned good customer service.
Recently, I had a bad experience where one of the barbers refused to cut my hair if I faced the mirror. I specifically asked to watch because I'd been unhappy with my recent haircuts and wanted to make sure it came out the way I wanted. I've chosen to omitt his name because I don't want to ruin his reputation completely. I'd been going to this barber for over a year. The issue was that I'd ask for something and he'd forget, so I wanted to watch and remind him. I'd gotten him to allow me to face the mirror for the last cut at Christmas (and tipped him 20 bucks, as well), but this time he refused and gave me an ultimatum. He insisted that I face away from the mirror, meaning that I couldn't watch, or he wouldn't cut my hair. I couldn't believe the nerve of this guy. I thought about it for a moment, with all the customers and barbers looking at me, and decided to leave. So, I didn't get a haircut and wasted my lunch hour. After giving $10 tips on $25 haircuts I'd expect excellent customer service. A guy's haircut should not cost almost 40 bucks and if it does, they'd better have amazing customer service. This is Melbourne, not Orlando.
Another thing is that he was always 10 to 15 minutes behind finishing the previous haircut. Haircuts are by appointment. I always arrived early and always had to wait which turned my hour-long haircut lunch into an hour and a half. If I'd been late by 10 minutes, they'd have canceled my appointment and given my slot to a walk-in. Any local knows how bad parking gets downtown at lunch time. That shows a lack of respect for the customer's time.
The haircuts are usually pretty good, but costly. Now it seems that they think the customers need them more than they need the customers. Not true. There are plenty of good barbers out there who don't gouge their customers and who treat them with respect. I'd suggest going elsewhere.
Incredible place staffed by incredible barbers who are incredible people. Been going there since the original location, seen many different barbers, and not once had anything but a fantastic cut! Bryan is my regular guy but, if he's booked and I didn't plan well, everyone else there is great as well. Go once, and it will ruin all other barbershops for you.
Consistently professional and friendly barbers in a wonderfully nostalgic shop. I would definitely recommend making an appointment, there are six chairs, and a constant flow of customers. I have brought my kids in twice and they both walk out with great cuts. My teenage daughter likes an edgier shorter style, she prefers here over a hair salon. Very comfortable atmosphere, highly recommend.
Peter does a great job and really puts thought into your cut and what will look best on you. Definitely isn't a one size fits all type of barber. Great atmosphere and always an enjoyable experience.
I walked in and got lucky they were not to busy. Seemed like they had booked appointments and one guy just for walk ins which was really nice. Pete was my barber and did an excellent job. Straight razor neck line and edging was a nice addition, with a hot towel to finish the cut off was wonderful. Great atmosphere would recommend booking an appointment as they seem well visited.
