Experienced and expeditious. Did not have to wait!! DeeDee was prepared and ready to start as soon as I arrived. I was able to show her a picture and discuss what I wanted. I loved my style.
This is my second time patronizing African Queen Braiding Salon in Woodbridge, and both times I was extremely impressed with my hairstyles. I showed Isata a photo of the braided Bantu knots that I wanted and she made adjustments based on the fineness and length of my hair. She suggested that cornrows
would look better and more natural using my own hair. I took her advice and I am so happy. Will definitely be coming back for all my protective styling needs.

First time using this shop, nor was it recommended. I texted a picture of stitched cornrow style and was told “yes” the stylist could do it. I was very disappointed. The finish style looked none thing like the picture. Don’t trust a shop when you’re told “yes”. Only if it there is a sign posted, “If you are not satisfied we will take the hair out at no cost to you”.
The braids i got were flawless!! I definitely recommend for fast service.
My daughter 9 year old got her hair done here in July, she loved the design and said everyone was very nice to her, Thank you for your kindness.
Came in with a pic of what I wanted. I was told they could do it easily. All I was supposed to have was 7 braids. My hair looks nothing like the photo. Literally nothing. I think they are over priced for the quality of braiding they offer. I will not be returning. This was my second visit. On my first visit I got 2 large braids. That turned out fine.
I asked for 4 simple braids. In return I received the 4 braids with a bald patch in the front of my hair. I asked the stylist not to pull my edges, she stated that she wasn’t. I needed something quick for the work week, but this style only lasted a few days as I began to see a bald spot form in the front of my head. As a stylist, you should know how sensitive and important the crown of ones hair is. Then again, I guess the jokes on me because the first time I went to this establishment, I requested 2 braids for a quick trip and with that, I received a whole jar of black gel in my hair. ????
