Best PlaceJuice Reviews

This really is the best Chinese in North Shields forget the rest. Traditional great food huge portions delivered piping hot. Can highly recommend the Duck dishes succulent full of flavour. Amazing side dishes including the beansprouts and the fried rice perfect. My most favourite that most Chinese don't doo is that Yung Kee make desserts amazing Pineapple Fritters a total must have. And Banana Fritters. Great service. Great delivery. And they also do lunchtime specials!
I don't get that often but when I do I get a munch box or one of the boxes and it is top tier good classic home feel.
Just had a chinese from here it was absolutely disgusting. Sweet and sour king praws just batter balls with a minuscule prawn inside, fried rice vile. Kung po king prawns also vile just looked like prawns in gravy and soft noodles seemed like reheated left overs. Waste of money will never return. AVOID AVOID
Very nice food and friendly staff love it even the delivery drivers good to talk to and friendly
Got this place mixed up with another takeaway to be honest. If I'd realised I wouldn't have ordered. Service was very pleasant but food was awful. Very old school gloopy msg. The chow mein was very dry. Also its cash only
Good sized portions.
Best chicken in batter I've tasted.
I always get free prawn crackers.
Highly recommend....
Best Chinese in north shields been eating from here for 20 years. Munchy boxes are top notch too. Food is always piping hot whether I collect or have delivered. I have ate at other Chinese on Tuesdays when these r shut but cant compare. Btw best sweet and sour sauce in the country, No one can compare to it.
Got House special curry. The meat was tough and dry and seemed to be pressed chicken. Also contained canned meat cut into strips. Because of the small container size there was little room for sauce so the meal was dry. Never again at least for curry

Quick Facts About Yung Kee

Yung Kee Place has received a mix of positive and negative comments which provide insights into its strengths and weaknesses. In order to analyze these comments and evaluate the overall strengths and weaknesses of the restaurant, it is important to consider each aspect mentioned.
One of the most notable strengths highlighted by several comments is the quality and taste of the food. Commenters have praised the traditional and great-tasting food, specifically mentioning the succulent and flavorful duck dishes. The use of "amazing" and "perfect" to describe the side dishes of beansprouts and fried rice suggests that these are also well-prepared and satisfying. Additionally, the mention of Yung Kee Place's unique dessert offerings, such as the Pineapple Fritters and Banana Fritters, demonstrates their ability to provide a diverse and appealing menu. These positive comments regarding the food quality and variety suggest that Yung Kee Place has a strong culinary offering, which is important in the highly competitive Chinese restaurant industry.
Another strength highlighted by the comments is the delivery service. Multiple commenters have praised the delivery drivers for being friendly and engaging in conversation, which enhances the overall customer experience. Additionally, the mention of the food being delivered piping hot indicates that Yung Kee Place takes care to ensure that the food remains fresh and appetizing even during delivery. This attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction is a notable strength of the restaurant.
Furthermore, the mention of lunchtime specials is an additional strength. Offering lunchtime specials can attract more customers during non-peak hours and provide an added incentive for people to choose Yung Kee Place over other competitors. This demonstrates that the restaurant is aware of its target market and is strategic in its pricing and promotions.
On the other hand, weaknesses are also mentioned in some comments. One comment highlights a negative dining experience where the food was described as "absolutely disgusting." This indicates a potential inconsistency in food quality, as different experiences can vary considerably. Additionally, the mention of the sweet and sour king prawns being inadequate and the fried rice being vile suggests that there may be issues with portion sizing and taste consistency.
Moreover, the mention of the chow mein being dry and the food having an "old school gloopy MSG" is another weakness. This indicates a potential lack of attention to detail and a reliance on dated cooking techniques that may not align with modern consumer preferences. The comment about the food containing canned meat cut into strips further emphasizes a potential lack of quality control or the use of subpar ingredients.
Another weakness highlighted is the restaurant's dependence on cash transactions. In this increasingly digital age, the mention of the restaurant being "cash-only" may discourage potential customers who prefer the convenience of paying via card or digital payment platforms. This limitation could result in lost sales and may hinder the restaurant's ability to cater to a wider customer base.
Furthermore, one comment mentions the quality of the meat, specifically stating that it was tough, dry, and appeared to be pressed chicken. This points towards a potential issue with the overall consistency and quality of the ingredients used in the dishes. Such inconsistencies can harm the restaurant's reputation and lead to customer dissatisfaction.
In conclusion, Yung Kee Place has several notable strengths, such as the taste and variety of its food, friendly delivery service, and lunchtime specials. However, weaknesses such as potential inconsistency in food quality, reliance on cash transactions, and issues with ingredient sourcing and cooking techniques, have also been highlighted. It is important for Yung Kee Place to address these weaknesses in order to maintain and improve its reputation, attract and retain customers, and remain competitive in the Chinese restaurant industry.
