Yes it is. I arrived at 1045am and Mr. Young had people lined up behind me already.
If you want a good cheap haircut he's your barber. Worth the drive.

Move over guys, Mr Young gives great haircuts to women too! Just wanting a trim I opted not to spend $50-80 on a haircut. Mr Young did an excellent job & gave me exactly what I was looking for... a good cut and healthier hair at an affordable price. He made me laugh too. I’ll be back. Thank you!
Mr and Mrs Young rock! My son went for a layered cut - in preparation for hockey/la crosse mullet. He was super satisfied. $16 was a steal. We parked on Lincoln, but there was a little lot right by the place. Turn right into it after you see the salon. Mr Young was very friendly and he knew exactly what my son was looking for (in preparation for a mullet!). $18 for ladies. NO reservation!

Greatest place to come for haircuts...if you have the time...
I have been going to Mr. Young for over a decade now and haven't found a better place since I initially went there. I have strayed from time to time when I couldn't wait for that perfect haircut but I always go back.
There are no appointments. It's a first-come-first-served kind of place. There are no frills like aromatherapy or a back massage but the haircuts are great. The price is definitely a good draw but I am more than willing to pay double what they charge for their services. You might have to wait an hour or more for your haircut but it's so worth it.
First timer. Showed up at 10:50, opens at 11:00, guy showed up at 11:15 (bank supposedly running late), 2 people were ahead of me, didn't get out of there until 12:40. Brought my laptop to get work done while I waited. Great cut and better than 2x the price places I've tried (of which there are many). Cash only, paid $30 including tip (cost $22). Will be back.
It was a real honor to have Young cut my hair. He's an absolute legend and the definition of the american dream. I hate getting my haircut usually but I thoroughly enjoyed this cut and love the end result. Young will be my go-to haircut from now on!
2022 prices are $22 for mens cuts. The place looks filthy but cleaned at a basic level. The barber works cash. Skill level is descent and will be satisfactory but look carefully before you leave and don’t be shy to ask for corrections. By the time you get home & others comment on your hair it’ll be too late to make any fixes yourself.
It’s sad how low the bar/standards of a descent cut has gotten if it’s below a certain price. Around the world, you can walk into most barbershops and get an up to date or modern cut for a reasonable price (wash & shampoo may be included)
