Best PlaceJuice Reviews

I have no idea why this is rated so highly. It doesn’t even taste like Chinese??? It was an oily salty mess. I’ve never seen so many onions in a dish. Also, the sweet and sour chicken had so much oil at the bottom. Nothing tasted fresh, no traditional Chinese flavouring it was just very, very bad. Would not recommend it at all
Fantastic food every time I’ve been over the past 6 months. Fresh tasty great portions and not to forget to mention, great customer service.
You won’t regret ordering from this establishment.
10/10 and on my way back there again tonight for a family feast.
Thank you to Welcome Friends.
Great local Chinese. Everything is fresh and tasty. Huge king prawns and decent portion sizes for all dishes. Cash only, and everything is around 50p-£1 more than the old menu photos on Google (but still very reasonably priced for good food!)
Just fantastic!!! Traditional and flavorful. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture hehe.
Hands down the best Chinese in London! Nothing has ever compared. Highly recommend the King Prawn with spring onion and ginger and do a great Wun Tun soup and Gyozas.
First timers here as we are picky about where we get our takeaway from. The service was excellent and the food gorgeous. Pancake roll reminded me of my youth....it was meaty, large and not greasy. Excellent special chop suey. Definitely our new takeaway
Oh wow, first time I have visited this Chinese take away and am really surprised at how nice it is. It's proper old school style and authentic. I think this is the only take away in miles that does original Chinese food. It's the best Chinese I've had in 25 years by far. It is more expensive than other shops but I'd rather pay the extra as a treat every now and then. You must try the chips as they are how all Chinese shops used to sell them 25 years ago. Please don't ever change the recipes welcome friends cos you have a little gem of a shop there. Thank you
Hands down my favorite Chinese takeaway in London... cash only, no deliveroo. Just good old fashioned well cooked food! Make the effort and come down. It's worth it ????

Quick Facts About Welcome Friends

Welcome Friends Place, a Chinese restaurant in London, has received mixed reviews from customers. In order to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of this establishment, we will break down the comments provided.
One recurring positive aspect of Welcome Friends Place is the food. Many customers have praised the freshness and taste of the dishes, mentioning that they enjoyed the great portions and flavorful options. Some specific dishes mentioned include the King Prawn with spring onion and ginger, the Wun Tun soup, and the Gyozas. This positive feedback indicates that the restaurant is capable of providing delicious and authentic Chinese cuisine.
Another strength mentioned by customers is the excellent customer service. One individual mentioned that they had a great experience with the staff, highlighting their helpfulness and attentiveness. This positive interaction contributes to an overall pleasant dining experience.
Additionally, some customers appreciate the traditional and old-school style of the restaurant. They mention that it reminds them of authentic Chinese cuisine from years ago and appreciate the restaurant's dedication to preserving traditional recipes. This nostalgic aspect seems to be enjoyed by certain customers who are looking for an authentic Chinese dining experience.
On the other hand, there are some weaknesses pointed out by other customers. One individual was disappointed with the taste of the food, claiming that it did not resemble traditional Chinese flavors and was overly oily and salty. They also mentioned an abundance of onions in their dish, which they did not like. This negative review highlights a potential inconsistency in the quality and taste of the food.
Another criticism mentioned was the presence of excessive oil in the sweet and sour chicken dish. This could indicate a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen, as excessive oil can ruin the overall taste and presentation of a dish.
Moreover, there is a mention of prices being slightly higher than expected. Although the food is praised for being reasonably priced for quality, it is worth noting that the higher prices may deter some potential customers who are seeking more affordable dining options.
Another point made is the restaurant's use of cash-only payment, which can be inconvenient for customers who prefer to pay with card or digital payment platforms. By not offering delivery service through platforms like Deliveroo, Welcome Friends Place may be missing out on potential customers who prefer the convenience of online ordering.
Analyzing these comments, it becomes evident that Welcome Friends Place has strengths in terms of delicious food, great customer service, and a traditional dining experience. However, weaknesses such as the inconsistency in taste and the inconvenience of cash-only payment should be addressed by the restaurant in order to enhance the overall dining experience for their customers. By focusing on maintaining a high standard of food quality, reducing excessive oil usage, considering alternative payment methods, and potentially offering delivery service, Welcome Friends Place can improve its weaknesses and further establish its strengths as a popular Chinese restaurant in London.
