Best PlaceJuice Reviews

First time visiting here staff really friendly and food was piping hot and great will definitely go there again x
This is by far the best chippy in Merthyr, if not Wales. The gravy is out of this world, as is the curry sauce and the fish. Came back again today, shop packed which is always a good sign. Staff are superb, still smiling even when really busy. Shame most customers were grumpy, staff were doing their best to serve everyone quickly, give them some slack. Will definitely be back regularly, thank you team webbers
There is no doubting that the food here is excellent if a bit expensive. However, where the business really falls down is the total lack of preparation for large numbers of customers! Chips are never ready, fish seem to be only cooked once ordered.
This inevitably leads to long waiting times and a shop full of customers. There were 5 staff serving tonight and I still had a 20 minute wait from ordering.
Excellent food, poor organisation hence only 3 stars. Pity.
I thought to be fair I would visit twice more to see if long waiting times were a one off, unfortunately the wait for food was unacceptable with people coming in last and served first!
Wow, a very large piece of fish and loads of chips. Great food and portions. Food is freshly cooked so it's worth waiting for it. Well done.
Perfect! As always, freshly cooked and piping hot x
Busy place and quick service. Excellent fish and chips all freshly cooked. Friendly staff
Simply a great fish and chip shop.
Gets a bit busy at times so be prepared to wait a few minutes.
Absolutely the best chippie in Merthyr Tydfil. I've lived here 16 years and only recently found it. Such a large range of fish to be had. They just need to get in some Wallys (large chip shop gherkins)

Quick Facts About Webbers@georgetown fish bar

Webbers@georgetown fish bar has received mostly positive comments, with customers praising the friendly staff, excellent food quality, and large portions. However, there have been some complaints about long waiting times and a lack of preparation for large numbers of customers.
One of the strengths highlighted by customers is the friendly staff at Webbers@georgetown fish bar. Visitors have appreciated their welcoming attitude and positive demeanor, even when the shop is busy. This indicates that the staff members are customer-focused and create a pleasant atmosphere for diners.
Another strength of this fish bar is the quality of the food. Multiple comments have praised the piping hot and great-tasting dishes, specifically mentioning the fish, chips, gravy, and curry sauce. The mention of the food being freshly cooked also suggests that the fish bar takes care to serve meals made to order rather than pre-cooked options.
Portion sizes have been positively noted by customers, with comments such as "loads of chips" and "very large piece of fish." These generous portions contribute to customer satisfaction and a perception of good value for money.
Despite these strengths, there are weaknesses that have been mentioned by customers. The most significant weakness is the long waiting times and lack of preparation for busy periods. Some customers have experienced delays in receiving their orders, with one person even stating that they had to wait for 20 minutes after ordering. This suggests a lack of efficiency in the order preparation process and a potential staffing issue during peak hours.
The second weakness mentioned in the comments is the expensive prices. While customers acknowledge the quality of the food, the cost is deemed higher than expected. This can be a barrier for some customers, especially if they feel that the prices do not match their dining experience.
In addition to the weaknesses mentioned above, there have been a few comments about the need for additional menu options. One customer specifically suggests adding Wallys (large chip shop gherkins) to the menu, indicating a desire for more variety or specialty items.
To address the long waiting times and lack of preparation, Webbers@georgetown fish bar could implement strategies to improve efficiency during busy periods. This could include increasing staffing levels or enhancing processes to ensure that chips are ready and fish is readily available. Providing an estimated wait time or implementing a digital queue system could also manage customer expectations and reduce frustration.
Regarding the expensive prices, the fish bar could consider offering value deals or promotions to attract and retain customers. Additionally, conducting a competitive analysis of other fish and chip shops in the area may help determine if the prices are indeed higher than average and allow for adjustments to be made accordingly.
In conclusion, Webbers@georgetown fish bar has several strengths, including friendly staff, excellent food quality, and generous portion sizes. However, they need to address the weaknesses of long waiting times and expensive prices to improve the overall customer experience. By implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reviewing their pricing strategy, they can further enhance their reputation as a top fish and chip shop in Merthyr Tydfil.
