We were leaving Jerome and looking for a place for breakfast, and we found this jewel of a spot in downtown Clarkdale. Violette’s really majors on doing their best to present a French atmosphere and offers a variety of French inspired food. I had the “Frenchie” crepe and it was absolutely delicious. My wife had the “Famous Waffle Plate.” She was pleasantly surprised at how moist it was in the center and enjoyed the flavor of it. I all had their German Spice Cake and loved it (I’m a spice cake fan)! My wife enjoyed their Almond Croissant better than the waffle and said it was the best she ever had.
The seating is mostly outdoor with French inspired music and the day we went the weather was perfect. The staff was nice and friendly and we enjoyed it experience. I definitely recommend this place as a stop on your travel.
Great experience, my wife and I saw and review for Violette’s on PBS and knew we had to make the trip. The waffle sandwich was fantastic, enough to share for sure. We also had a crème and fruit crepe, just as good. Washed it all down with some latte’s and was well worth the drive from Phoenix. Have some pastries for the drive home to enjoy.
Violette's is always a pleasure to visit. My sister and I make it a point to drive up at least once a month to get brunch with our pups.
Violette herself is a very nice person and is at the cafe tending to the guests.
The brunch options were absolutely fresh and delicious! Amber was very delightful and showed a tremendous amount of pride for the food that she served. Highly recommended!

Our experience was beautiful. The staff was calm, courteous and attentive. We enjoyed our meals and coffees. We’d return for both again! The highlight was the Grande Caprese Crepe.
Perfect breakfast spot conveniently located in Historic Clarkdale. Friendly service and food was wonderfully made with care. Plenty of space to sit down and enjoy your meal in the sun. Highly recommend the waffle plate or big royale sandwich, they were delicious! We’ll be back ❤️
This was a great little place for breakfast. Wonderful atmosphere and seating outside the train car, which was the kitchen. It has a walk-up window where you order. They serve coffee, pastries, and breakfast items from the menu.
We had the breakfast special of the day, which was a banana fosters crepe, and also one of the best breakfast dishes I've ever had, The Big Royale Sandwich. I would have loved to try all the different pastries, but was too full after the breakfast. Someday, though.
Do yourselves a favor and stop here. It's worth it.
