Great quality and value for money. This little restaurant/bar is nestled alongside Waltham Abbey’s small high street. We managed to get a table during the lunchtime rush. The wine & cheese/meat board was excellent, very tasty & well presented. Combine some good weather and really attentive staff and you have one happy customer. Would have given a full 5 stars but we weren’t given a menu before asked for our order. Other than that very happy, will definitely come again :)
Great local little wine bar, gets very busy so suggest you book a table. Had a mini wine taster, which was really good fun. Wines beautiful, but quite pricey. Felt like I needed something more substantial to eat, the platter of nibbles was definitely not enough. The platter was really good though. Great evening, very welcoming, excellent service. !!!!
Fantastic experience at Vintner & Mason. The one eyed harry gin they produce/ sell is absolutely amazing! By far one of the best gins I've had.
Great service. Excellent range of different alcoholic drinks; especially fond of their gins. The platters of meats and cheeses are a superb accompaniment. Homemade truffles do not drown out the drink but compliment beautifully. For something different, try their afternoon teas which look delicious. Follow them on Facebook for their various events to try something new. A real gem in the area.
What can I say about this lovely place. I went there the other day with a party of 6 of us.our table was ready for us when we arrived and even created an indoor table space when wanting to move inside. From the very begining the owners were very welcoming. They took there time to come and have a chat to us and generally spent there time with all the customers. Very lovely down to earth owners! They do a variety of drinks such as wines, cocktails and even coffee. I was happy to see they had alternative milk on offer too. You can really tell the owners put everything into there bussiness. I highly recommend this lovely wine bar and belive they also do wine testing sessions too. I will be revisiting very soon.
Went on a Tuesday night with the Missus and she liked it. She actually liked the raspberry gin fizz which was very good and she liked the table arrangements with the cafe culture ambience. Cocktails were reasonable and with generous measures but I'm told it's pricier at peak times. Good accommodating service too. We shall return for more.
Very pleased to have alternative to the local pubs for somewhere different to go and have a few glasses of wine with family and friends. A very nice atmosphere and extremely knowledgeable owners; a perfect way to either spend the evening, or simply drop in either pre and post dinner in one of the Abbey's restaurants. We very much hope that the business brings the success it deserves.
An absolute gem - one of Waltham Abbey's town centre highlights. Lovely atmosphere run by a lovely family.
Liam makes sure that there's always a good selection of wines, including many that you either won't find elsewhere or would pay a *lot* more for. Sifa's afternoon teas are great too.
Anybody who's been to one of the wine tastings can attest to Liam's knowledge and passion too.
Although they do a lovely tapas they are happy for people to bring food in from local takeaway.
There aren't many places like Vintner & Mason - it's something to he treasured.
