Amazing cafe with delicious sausage rolls, cakes and coffee. It also holds workshops by the amazing punts pots! Check them out when you have a day off!
We go to Vin on a regular basis for sit in and takeaway. Nice to sit outside when the weather is good. Staff are always friendly. The food, cakes and coffee are amazing! Big plus is that it is dog friendly, our wee dog loves going.
Dog-friendly place with the cutest puppuccino xxx
I got an avo stack (with extra bacon on top) and it was faaabulous!!
It gets quite crowded, especially on the weekends so reservations are highly recommended ????
I moved to Rutherglen just a few months ago and didn't realise this gem was so close!
Been there this afternoon and really loved it, definitely coming back. The environment is really nice and cosy, food is very tasty and stuff is very friendly. It can get quite loud, but just because the place is fully packed (reserve your table!) - it is that good :)
Such a good neighbourhood cafe. Food is excellent, coffee very good. Service could be a little more attentive. Menu is quite original so something for those if us a bit fed up with the typical cafe fayre. Good job!
Great wee place, great wee coffee, great big cakes.. Service is lovely too. Vin18 wouldn't look out of place among the city centre/west end shops, but for some reason, it's all ours. You won't regret popping by for brunch or a coffee and a cake.
The first thing that you notice when entering is the smell of grease. I placed an order to takeaway and was asked to wait outside (in the rain) for it. 2 sandwiches and 2 cakes. The food was OK, but having to wait outside in the rain and my clothes smelling of grease after being in for less than 2 minutes has put me off going back.
Amazing place to eat. Outdoor dining and Pet friendly which was great for my puppy. Had the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, it was absolutely wonderful.

Quick Facts About Vin 18

Vin 18 Place is a cafe that seems to have a lot of strengths. It is praised for its delicious food, particularly its sausage rolls, cakes, and coffee. Customers also appreciate the fact that Vin 18 Place holds workshops by the amazing punts pots, providing an added experience for visitors.
The cafe is known for its friendly staff, making customers feel welcome and valued. This is a significant strength, as good customer service can greatly enhance the overall dining experience. It is also mentioned that the cafe is dog-friendly, which is a big plus for pet owners. Having a puppuccino on the menu shows that Vin 18 Place caters to its four-legged customers as well.
Another strength is the option for both sit-in and takeaway. This gives customers the flexibility to choose how they want to enjoy their meal. It is mentioned that sitting outside is particularly pleasant when the weather is good, further adding to the overall experience.
Customers appreciate the originality of the menu, noting that it offers something different from the usual cafe fare. This is a strength, as it attracts customers who may be looking for a unique dining experience. The food itself is described as tasty and excellent, with specific recommendations such as the avo stack with extra bacon. The coffee is also highly praised, indicating that Vin 18 Place pays attention to quality across all aspects of its menu.
The cafe is mentioned to have a nice and cozy environment, which adds to the overall ambiance. However, it is also noted that the place can get quite loud, especially on weekends when it is crowded. While this may suggest that the cafe is popular and well-liked, it could be considered a weakness for those who prefer quieter dining experiences.
One customer mentions that the service could be a little more attentive, indicating that there might be room for improvement in this area. While the staff is generally described as friendly, ensuring that customers feel well taken care of is important for maintaining a positive reputation.
On the other hand, there is one negative comment mentioning the smell of grease upon entering the cafe and the inconvenience of waiting outside in the rain for a takeaway order. This is a significant weakness as it can leave a negative impression on customers and deter them from returning. Addressing this issue by improving the ventilation and providing a better waiting area for takeaway orders could greatly improve the overall customer experience.
Overall, Vin 18 Place has several strengths such as delicious food, friendly staff, a dog-friendly policy, and a unique menu. However, there are also some areas that could be improved, such as attentiveness of service, reduction of noise levels, and addressing the issue of smelling of grease. By capitalizing on its strengths and addressing these weaknesses, Vin 18 Place can continue to build a positive reputation and attract more customers.
