Did a one night stay with breakfast next morning. You have to be realistic it has a bar stays open late w/e & is on a busy road. The location is great for the station & town. You are going to get noise so if you are light sleeper or love the peace of the countryside it ain't for you. Were city dudes, noise comes with our lives. This place gets 5 stars cause it's great value for money . A bed, hot shower & a freshly cooked full English breakfast was the deal. Staff welcoming & friendly. Great prices at the bar b4 you hit the pillow as well. Really hit the spot !

Hear it's getting refurbished so I hope the prices don't rise too much. Will be returning...

Stayed in the hotel connected to the bar. Just wanted to say that the staff are fantastic and made us feel very welcome. If you stay in the hotel, don't miss breakfast because it was really nice! (That might be the hangover talking but I enjoyed my time)

Was very nice but need to change bread sausages and the chairs are dated. Breakfast was very good ingredients not so much

Place is not the cleanest, toilets are a joke. Breakfast used to be best in town but new cook and resident alcoholic Estelle now does the breakfast. Avoid eating if you value your health. Would not recommend very poor standards of hygiene. No stars..

For a bloke on his own the place is ideal very basic but had everything and the breakfast was awesome

Service wasn't good and tip amount forced (lol).

The only great thing was the sunset.

Fantastically friendly staff, Sara, was brilliant on both morning s we stayed, rooms clean well kept, we will be going back when we have time off to explore more, of the area loads to do. After old revues , we are happy to say we stayed an will go back Again thankyou Simon an all your staff Carina an Steve .

Dreadful hotel. Drunks shouting outside, dodgy people loitering. Easy access from the pub to the rooms so didn't feel safe...especially as the hall lights to my room weren't working. The bed felt like it was made of egg boxes. I paid for two nights as I was doing a training course nearby but checked out after only one.

Today
