Cheese burger with sweet potato fries were delicious. The service was relatively quick, all the staff were pleasant apart from the guy who brought us the food. Had a bit of a attitude and tone to his voice even when we asked for some salt. Him responding with "chips have salt on them already" I appreciate you might be preventing us from high blood pressure but that's an area of customer service that might have to be improved.
Good atmosphere but the food is astonishingly bad compared to what it used to be 2 years ago.. behold, the appetising garlic chicken and mushrooms(single mushroom*) burger in all it’s glory..and dryness. For £10 per plate you are inclined to expect the food to at least be on par with the cheaper fast food around High street, for which you also don’t wait for 30-50 minutes..
Stopped here for some drinks after a local football game with some friends, the bar at 5 was very quiet, plenty of drink choices and fairly quick service, nice atmosphere and comfy seats at the big table near the bar
Had lunch in here yesterday and was pleasantly surprised having read previous reviews. The last when we arrived explained they had been having some work done in the morning so there may be a delay with our food as everything had just been turned on. She took our drinks order and brought us menus. We placed our order and our food arrived quicker than we were expecting. I had the sticky chicken and ribs and my fiance the fish and chips. Both were plentiful, well presented, hot and very tasty. My only criticism is that the room was quite cold. Other than that, it was lovely.
Utterly fabulous. Staff are great and leave you to enjoy the company you are with. Very laid back atmosphere and food was lovely. There were a few things that they ran out of but managed to get a beautiful meal and lovely drinks. They barmen are wonderful and knowledgeable about all menus and make changes where needed. Will certainly go back.
Went in for a quick bar lunch the other day, almost walked out when we were given a very limited Xmas menu of which half wasn't available. However we stayed and when our food eventually came out it was fabulous, served with a smile and good value.
I would recommend however using old menus isn't doing the place justice as we witnessed at least another 3 tables coming in and leaving after reading the menu without ordering.
I popped in there some months ago, in a sunday evening, incredibly quiet place and fantastic atmosphere. I enjoyed a lot their food, need to come back. Maybe they need more choice on menu, but it was still good enough.
