Great salon! The owner Tom took care of me and did a great job on my hair and was also very nice. I will definitely be coming back!

I love coming to the Thomas James Salon. The receptionist makes sure you are comfortable when you walk in the door. Carrie colored my hair and did a fantastic job. Nadine cut my hair. She has never given me a bad haircut. Every time, my hair will lay perfectly after she cuts my hair. I would recommend this salon to everyone.

I absolutely love this salon! Cheryl is the best! It's so wonderful to be able to tell Cheryl exactly what I want and she made it happen. They really have an eye and know what will look good and take time to be careful and thorough to get your hair just right. So glad I switched here!

First time to Thomas James Salon. Jennifer did an outstanding job with my haircut. I told her exactly what I would like to do with my cut and that's exactly what she did. I am very pleased and more pleased than I ever have been with a haircut. The product selection there is great, the staff is wonderful - all friendly and pleasant. I had such a positive experience that I had my daughter and grandson make appointments. My daughter now has a beautiful color with which she is happy and my grandson is looking forward to his future haircuts with Jennifer. All in all, a great experience at Thomas James Salon --- we're definitely going to become regulars. Thanks to everyone from all three of us --- especially to Jennifer!

Recently moved to the South Lyon area, then COVID hit. I hadn't had my hair done in months and was SO excited to try out a new place based on the reviews. I called to book a cut and color and they were very accommodating with availability. Madison was friendly, greeted me and did a great job on my color. She said she was handing me over to Tom because she preferred not to cut, but he loved it. Tom was also super friendly and I enjoyed our chat greatly, but I had no idea I was being charged a huge premium for a hair trim by him($62 JUST to have my ends evened up from not having a cut in a long time, literally nothing more than that). Also, once my hair had been dried and cut, Madison let me know that she did a semi-permanent hair dye instead of permanent "in case I ever wanted to go lighter", when I specifically stated I wanted the dark hair and have had the dark hair for years. While Tom & Madison were friendly, kind, and I enjoyed my experience, I did NOT appreciate the bait and switch on pricing or the executive decisions on my hair color without consulting me first. I had no idea I would be handed over to two stylists and charged a large premium in the process. Make sure you ask questions and verify what you're getting before you go in.

Walking into the salon it has a beautiful aesthetic. And my hairdresser, Emily, did a wonderful job cutting my hair and giving really great recommendations. Walking out my hair felt healthy and looked great I'm so happy that I had the pleasure of going to this salon and I will become a regular customer there.

Exceptional service and cleanliness. Excellent haircut and style. They not only meet but exceed cleanliness standards in the covid crisis. They actually installed an air filtration device that is used by NASA. Friendly customer service and on time! Tom did my hair and Nadine did my daughters. Both cuts were precise and excellent

I just began going here a few months ago, but I'll definitely be a long term client. Emily is my hairdresser. She gives fabulous hair cuts, and her shampooing is heaven! She's a beautiful spirit and a very cordial young woman.
