Lovely theatre my friend booked a show to see La Voix and what can I say what a blindin night. The theatre was packed and bursting with energy, laughter and tears. I drank before I got there as I heard that you cannot get to the bar and £5 for 1 can of Red Stripe which I find I can get 4 for £5 in my local shop but anyway if you get a chance to see a show go , because this theatre is right on your doorstep..well it is for me and I'm booked to see another show in March ✌️.
Lovely theatre and atmosphere. We joined Spectral Hunters for a paranormal investigation, all the team were so welcoming and we had use for all their equipment. Would definitely like to explore this location again. Thanks to all the team and Darren the Manager.
???? Bring your own chair - so not great for non-locals
???? Staff were very friendly
???? Good actors, entertaining overall, impressive stage and costumes
An enjoyable evening overall! Especially nice when sun was setting!
Went to see a panto with a friend and her kids. The performance was pretty fun. I was laughing and cheering along and the kids went bananas which I guess is what counts. So very many puns.
As for the venue itself, it's small but it works. Seats feel close to the action. Try to avoid the side seats - visibility is extremely limited. Otherwise, does what you'd expect. Very decent seaside town theatre.
The theatre needs some love and attention and we need to hang onto this building.
Great show La Voix, great entertainment, loved it
Lovely little old theatre. A good diverse programme of events. Comfy seats. Beware booking the restricted views behind pillars. The bar and foyer are very small so arrange to meet friends elsewhere. Heating was cranked up last time I went so wear layers you can take off.
Fabulous Panto. The cast were excellent, funny and very engaging. The ensemble were young but put in a professional performance. The theatre is small but very cosy, big enough for the audience to really generate an atmosphere, but small enough to feel close to the stage even at the back. Loved it we'll be back next year!
Such a beautiful theatre. Such a shame it is to close and an uncertain future. We watched an amateur version of a Mathilda. It was brilliant. Very talented artists.
The only downside was the price of the drinks. I know theatres are usually expensive but one small bottle of prosecco was very very overpriced.
