Over the years this place has got better and better. Great atmosphere and brilliant staff. It has massively improved since its old 'spit and sawdust' days. With a huge outside seating area it is definitely a go to place wether its just for a quick one (or a coffee) or a great night out

A lovely pub with lots of character(s). Also has a large beer garden, which is a welcome addition.

The Trout has done a great job to improve their outside seating. A great vibe, good for gigs, a predominantly cider pub but at least one real ale always on draught.

I,and my wife, Lin have enjoyed quite a few nice afternoon visits in their beer garden which is a great sun-trap in the summer and their lounge when cooler. Lounge is decorated with many quirky objects and you won't spot them all without another visit, which you will at their prices.
