I ate here with 3 friends yesterday ( Saturday lunchtime) Just wanted to say it was an excellent experience. The menu had so much choice and we all really enjoyed our food. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the service quick. The atmosphere was just what we needed to catch up.

Table not ready, no one seated at it, pub not overly busy. Seats and floor covered in food when we sat down. Food was nice.
Hadn't finished main course when waitress was trying to take my plate. Told last orders (it was before 21:00) and came with bill as we were eating our dessert, and took place settings away. Not impressed with service at all. All 5 of us won't be going back. Advertised as closing at midnight.
Had a very nice meal here with my family. Service,food and staff could not fault. Food very large portions and good value for money. Definitely recommend and will go back.
The Sunday roast dinner was lovely. A choice of roast joints of meat, nicely cooked vegetables, lashings of gravy and the best roast potatoes EVER! Plenty of friendly welcoming staff. Definitely recommend The Stanley.
Tbh every time I’ve been in there has been a big gang of us about 8 people and it has always been really nice and the service from every me ever of staff every time has been 100%.
The food is also nice and homemade. Cannot fault it.
Didn’t really want to review this place as I would like to keep it a little secret for the locals.
Great atmosphere in this pub, we went for a Sunday roast with no reservation. The staff made space for us. Expect huge portions, not two roasties, a sliver of beef and a dribble of gravy you definitely get what you pay for with this pub, plus more
Staff just amazing, popped in for a few pints after a 87 mile cycle ride. They told us our time limit and when it was up found us another table for the last 20 minutes. Quality! Staff to die for. Keep up the good work.
Great service from here. All staff friendly and helpful. Food was top notch and a great pint of Doombar. Will definitely be in there again. Thankyou.
