Fab local. Good, home cooked food - generous portions! I usually have the cottage pie, it’s lush! But have had a few things from the menu. Always piping hot and tasty. Comfy pub with a nice atmosphere - it’s now a regular on our agenda. Very reasonably priced too. Would recommend.
Lovely pub, very friendly staff and plentiful, fabulous food, very reasonably priced.
Booked in over messenger at the last minute and we asked if around 5pm was available for food, even placed an order for 2 x ribeye .
Arrived at the restaurant and was greeted by a friendly member of staff. Waited around 30min for food to arrive on wooden platter trays , nicely presented.
The ribeye Steak was cooked to perfection and was a beautiful piece of meat , 1x med well ,1x med, just perfect.
Overall restaurant was clean , staff were pleasant and the food was excellent .
Will go again .

We were welcomed by Aaron as soon as we walked into the bar and he was extremely helpful in letting us taste different lagers to help choose the one we wanted. We were served amazing plentiful meals by Moira the chef which were well cooked, well presented and tasted great. It is the best pub experience we have had in a long time. Would definitely recommend a visit lovely friendly staff!
Came in at 12pm fancied a breakfast so looked at the menu and there wasnt one on the menu as it was lunch time but fantastic staff and chef came to the rescue and offered me a all day breakfast went out there way to give me what I wanted, food was delicious and staff were so friendly 5*****
The staff were friendly but unprofessional the things they were talking about. It was the worst meal I have ever paid for! My friends steak was off so we left. He was so ill the next day he couldn't go to work. My lasagne was dry so I didn't eat it. Went to morrisons and got a microwave lasagne instead. Thought we were lucky getting a table Fri night but now we know why. Nice place to drink but not eat.
Used to be a great place to imbibe real ale, piss poor now, both beers I tried, one was obviously bottom of the barrel, the other badly served/poured and unacceptable. New management only just in so will cut them some slack and see how it is next time before I move on. Last chance
Awesome food, amazing atmosphere, and really caring and attentive staff, good prices on food and nice crisp fresh beer ????????
