Quick Facts About The Orford Fryer

The Orford Fryer place has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers. In order to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of this establishment, we will examine the feedback provided.
Starting with the negative comments, customers complained about the quality of their food. One customer mentioned that the beef in their blackbean dish was chewy and tasteless, and the sauce was watery and lacked flavor. Another customer stated that the beef chow mein they ordered was also tasteless. These complaints indicate a weakness in the flavor and quality of the meat dishes offered by The Orford Fryer. Customers also expressed dissatisfaction with the value for their money, feeling that the food they received was not worth the £24 they paid. Additionally, one customer described their overall experience as "horrible" and stated that they would not be ordering from the establishment again.
However, there are some positive comments that highlight the strengths of The Orford Fryer. One customer praised the fish, chips, and peas, stating that they were great in taste and portion size. They also mentioned that the staff was efficient and pleasant, indicating a strength in customer service. Another customer mentioned that they frequented the establishment regularly because it was the best chip shop in the area. They specifically mentioned the friendly and quick service, as well as the willingness of the staff to cook a fresh fish upon request. This suggests a strength in the quality of the food, customer satisfaction, and the overall experience provided by the establishment.
Other positive comments highlighted the value for money offered by The Orford Fryer. One customer mentioned that they had Chinese food, a burger, and doner meat with salad, and found the portions to be large and the value to be great. They also mentioned that the wait time was slightly longer due to the number of customers, but that did not deter them from recommending the chip shop. Another positive aspect mentioned was the availability of a cash machine next door, making it convenient for customers who prefer to pay in cash.
Nevertheless, negative comments about the sausages and the cooking temperature were observed. A customer noted that the sausages were not good and potentially reheated, suggesting a weakness in the freshness and quality of certain menu items. Another customer expressed frustration with the temperature of their chips, stating that they were freezing both times they visited. This indicates a weakness in food temperature and potentially suggests that the establishment is not adequately storing or reheating their food.
In conclusion, The Orford Fryer place has strengths in terms of friendly and efficient staff, great fish, chips, and peas, as well as value for money. However, there are also weaknesses in the quality of certain meat dishes, value for money according to some customers, and issues with the temperature and freshness of the food. These weaknesses need to be addressed in order to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.

Just like to say we were not happy at all with our recent order.
Beef blackbeen - beef was chewy and tasteless and the sauce was unbelievably watery.. didn't taste like blackbeen at all.
Beef chow mein - beef was tasteless and the sauce was tasteless too.
Sorry but it was horrible.
What a waste of £24 it was.
Won't be ordering again unfortunately
Great fish, chips and peas and they do a small portion of the same.
That's staff are efficient and pleasant.
I go here on a regular basis. Not the nearest chippy to my house, but definitely the best. Lovely staff and very quick. I always ask them to cook a fresh fish for me and they are always happy to do so. I can certainly recommend this chip shop.
Had Chinese food, burger and doner meat with salad.
Large portions great value, slightly longer wait but that was due to amount of people waiting. No card payments available, cash only, but a cash machine available in the shop next door.
Under new management sausages was not good was warm ups from dinner or day before chips not that bad when fresh made
Disgusting don’t waste your money £14 fir two fish and chips swimming in grease the fish stinks in the bin we called to tell them they said there was no manager and all she said was ok !!! Drive past it it’s disgusting
It's pot luck wether you're gonna get good chips or not. To be fair, the other basic chippie stuff (fish, sausages etc) are normally decent every time but the chips, sometimes they're still hard which to me seems like they're rushing to get chips ready. I'd be more than willing to wait an extra 5 minutes to get decent chips. I'm sure others would too.
Went 2 weeks ago chips freezing ???? said wouldn't go back but gave them another try 2 day 12.30 half way through opening time chips freezing again pathetic can't keep food warm don't go there if u like hot food ????
