I love this pub. If you love real ale. Its all kept perfectly.. with plenty choice.
My children took me as a surprise for my 80th .
I don't get out much these days, since I fell off my electric bike. (Sober) So the perfect gift for an
old cellar (wo)man.
It's welcoming and friendly. No frills, beautifully kept ales
Love the Market Tav! Such a quaint little pub with a strong community atmosphere, my family and I go here regularly, it is our go-to spot for a drink and a chat
Nice little place, none of your regular brand on pump but the staff are friendly and let you taste if youre not sure. The only bad thing was the place was a bit smelly when we entered, could probably use something to freshen the air up a bit.
Absolutely superb real ale pub run by a lovely couple, instantly you are made to feel welcome when you walk in, this bar has a great selection of cask, keg and bottled beers and ales, it's a dog friendly pub too so after a canal walk pop in and support this brighouse institution, keep up the good work snap, Debs & Adam????????
Great little place at the side of the outdoor market. Always have a great range of ales on and often a few tasty sandwiches on the bar.
Staff are lovely and the regulars are nice.
It's small and popular, and well worth a visit if you're in town.
Great little pub - lovely staff and varied selection of beers that changes regularly and reflects the local brewery scene. Very popular with dog owners so that's always fun and helps add to the friendly atmosphere. Has a very small but we'll kept beer garden and interesting decor.
Brilliant!! I discovered this local hostelry on Thursday evening whilst staying away on business in West Yorkshire.
This is a proper local pub, packed with friendly, sociable customers, all enjoying an extensive, delicious range of local real ales, served by a very hospitable landlady and landlord.
With a tray of white bread baps smothered in potted meat on the bar (local tradition I believe) for customers to help themselves to, what more can one ask for in a proper pub?
I was felt most welcomed by the staff and local customers.
Highly recommend you visit this pub for a pint or two?
The market tavern is a must for real ale drinkers .Not far from the train station could quite easily be visited on the real ale trail. Staff are very friendly landlord, landlady are always welcoming that's why it has a good regular clientele. It has a lovely part covered beer garden and is dog friendly. What more can i say a bit of paradise in the centre of brighouse.
