After a long walk with the dog, this is a perfect stop off for a refreshing pint of Thatchers Dry. Fantastic hosts, good selection of snacks and rolls, and if you are lucky, some piping hot complimentary roasters on a Sunday lunchtime......
Absolutely fantastic pub, so homely and warming, you can walk in there and you are treated and respected with a very warm welcome.
Even our children ask when are we going to the grapes again as they love to play those old
Fashioned games, that both Tracy and Sam provide. This could be anything from connect 4 to the old fashioned game tosser.
Recently moved to the area and would highly recommend ‘the grapes’
Absolutely love this boozer. We live over the road and are so lucky to have it so near. Sam and Tracy are great hosts. There is always a welcoming atmosphere. Often it's completely rammed. Especially on a Sunday afternoon for live music. Hand on heart I’ve never had a bad night out here. The draft beer is also very good indeed.
just a perfect pub. Sam and Tracy are great hosts and the beer is always top notch with a great selection of changing guest ales. Sort of place you can settle for hours and have a decent pint and feel comfortable. The Cheese and Onion Rolls are a bit good too! Or is it a bit too good?
Absolutely love this little pub, Tracy and sam are so welcoming and friendly. The pub is so cosy, drinks are great and so are the bar snacks. Definitely recommend the cheese and onion rolls! I love sitting outside in the summer watching the world go by. Couldn’t fault the place :) my favourite pub in Chipping Sodbury

The Grapes, run by Tracy and Sam, seems to have numerous strengths based on the comments from customers. One of the main strengths is the warm and welcoming atmosphere that the pub provides. Customers consistently mention feeling treated and respected, as well as feeling at home when they visit. This homely and comforting environment is a major strength for The Grapes, as it creates a positive and enjoyable experience for customers.
Another strength of The Grapes is the selection of beverages, particularly the draft beer. Many customers praise the quality of the beer, describing it as top-notch and consistently good. Additionally, there is a rotating selection of guest ales, providing variety and the opportunity to try new drinks. This variety and quality of beverages is an attractive feature for customers and contributes to the popularity of the pub.
Additionally, The Grapes is commended for its selection of bar snacks and complimentary roasters on Sunday lunchtime. Customers specifically mention loving the cheese and onion rolls, indicating that the food offerings are of high quality. These snacks add to the overall experience and provide customers with additional options to enjoy while having a drink.
The entertainment provided by The Grapes is highlighted as a strength as well. The old-fashioned games, such as connect 4 and tosser, are enjoyed by both adults and children. This provides an extra element of fun and sets The Grapes apart from other pubs in the area. Another potential weakness is not explicitly mentioned in the comments, but can be inferred from the positive feedback.
