Under new management, surprised they never changed the name, as the old management left a lot to be desired. Carrying baggage from the old friendly. Very nicely refurbished and seems a much better crowd in there now. Very poor choice of ales though. Not eaten there yet but intend to soon. I also like that dogs only allowed in beer garden.
Average food and slow service. We booked a table for 6.30pm. There was a limited menu with no vegetarian options but the staff managed to cobble together a vegan burger. Surprisingly limited range of beer and wine. The service was very slow - we spent most of the evening waiting for food. When the food finally appeared it was neither good nor bad - just acceptable. The pub is under new management so maybe these were teething issues but the management didn't appear to be too concerned. They probably think they were doing fine. Not planning another visit any time soon.
We've eaten here a few times since the pub has reopened. The food is fantastic, and the Sunday roast is the best we've had. The refurbishment is great, the place looks lovely. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. We would highly recommend a visit.
Friday night dinner with teens. Easy booking. Great to see it looking smart inside- love the wallpaper. We were a party of 5. Seated at a v large square table which felt that we were all far apart and this made conversation over the noise and music difficult. Table felt sticky. Food was nice enough though on the more expensive side. May go again but choose a quieter time.

My family and I have just eaten the most amazing Sunday lunch ever. Well done to chef Ben and his friendly and efficient team. We will definitely be returning.
Went today to celebrate my Nieces Birthday, such a lovely Pub, food was fabulous!! Lovely staff. Wishing you the best of luck ????????
Sunday roast was delicious!!!!! However unfortunately service was slow both in time it took to deliver courses as well as bringing out each plate for each person (took 2.5 hours to serve 3 courses and we ended up sending plates back because food got cold whilst serving ) which became difficult with 2 children under 3. They realised this and gave a 10% discount without any prompting which was a positive.
