Quick Facts About The Fistral Chef

The Fistral Chef place, according to the comments, has a number of strengths and weaknesses that can be discussed in relation to its breakfast offerings and overall dining experience.
Starting with the strengths, one recurring theme in the comments is the quality of the food. The American-style pancakes and the smoothies are particularly praised, with one comment stating that the pancakes were "awesome and highly recommended" and another stating that the smoothie was "amazing" and "so tasty." This suggests that the dishes served at The Fistral Chef are of a high standard and are well-liked by customers.
Another strength highlighted in the comments is the friendly and down-to-earth nature of the staff. Despite not being overly mollycoddling, the staff are described as friendly and full of smiles. This positive and welcoming attitude is likely to contribute to a pleasant dining experience for customers, as it creates a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
The fact that the locals frequent The Fistral Chef is also mentioned as a strength. This indicates that the restaurant is a hub for the local community, suggesting that it has a good reputation within the area. People coming and going from the establishment further emphasizes this, as it implies that The Fistral Chef is a popular and well-known establishment among locals.
Moving on to the weaknesses, a recurring complaint is the portion size of the breakfast dishes. One comment mentions being disappointed with the size of the breakfast compared to the picture advertising it, stating that it was smaller than expected. Another comment expresses dissatisfaction with receiving only half a breakfast for nearly £20. These comments suggest that the portion sizes may not be consistent or adequate for the price paid, potentially indicating poor value for money.
Another weakness highlighted in the comments is the service. One comment mentions a staff member who was not very happy or friendly, while another comment describes the service as terrible, with a waitress who couldn't be bothered. Additionally, one comment mentions a pregnant lady being treated poorly by staff, which is described as shocking and disgusting behavior. These negative experiences with service suggest that there may be inconsistencies in the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, which can have a detrimental impact on the overall dining experience.
Another weakness mentioned in the comments is the quality of some of the food items. Complaints include overcooked breakfast items, hash browns soaked in oil, and an omelette that was not seasoned at all. These comments suggest that there may be inconsistencies in the preparation and quality of the dishes, which can negatively affect the overall dining experience and the perception of the establishment's culinary capabilities.
Finally, one comment mentions that the freshly squeezed orange juice was not actually freshly squeezed but rather came out of the fridge, suggesting that the establishment may not meet the expectations set by its menu in terms of freshness and quality of ingredients.
In conclusion, The Fistral Chef place has strengths in the form of high-quality pancakes and smoothies, friendly staff, and popularity among locals. However, it also has weaknesses in terms of portion sizes, inconsistent service, and questions surrounding the quality of some dishes. These strengths and weaknesses should be considered when evaluating whether to dine at The Fistral Chef.

Classic diner. Breakfast choices include full English, eggs Benedict and American style pancakes. I went for the pancakes and they were awesome and highly recommended.
The people running it are friendly without being falsely so, real down to earth people, so do not expect to be mollycoddled. Locals are in and out all the time this is a hub for the local community.
This not a health food place this a classic greasy spoon breakfast and lunch place. There are no pretensions to being any else and Fistal Chef absolutely own it!
Cute decking outside, but we were a little disappointed with the size of the breakfast especially when the picture advertising it displays more then what you actually get. We thought it was a bit expensive consider how little you get.. BUT the smoothie I had was amazing!! I would definitely go back for the smoothie, was so tasty. Staff were friendly and full of smile x
Great breakfast. Lots of choice. Good price. Very clean. The staff was very helpful. Food was best we had
First of all the staff member who served us was not the happiest of people let's say . Secondly the picture outside of the cafe with the full English looked amazing, however when it arrived I got one sausage, one egg , one rash of bacon, and one fried toast, and a few beans and one hash brown. So for nearly £20 me and my pal got 2 half breakfasts, and a cupa .they most have seen us coming.
Not good. Breakfast was horrible, waitress left the breakfast under the hot plate for 10 mins so it was over cooked. Hash browns dripping in Nasty oil. Service was terrible, waitress couldn’t even be bothered. Said it was her last day so she wasn’t “with it”.
I don’t often feel compelled to write a bad review but our experience here today was awful. Firstly I asked if my egg with my breakfast could be poached and not fried. I was told no as the kitchen was too busy! There were only 3 tables with any customers on. I asked again as 4 of their menu items have poached egg so surely it would be ok to put a poached egg on my breakfast and was told no again. My breakfast was cold. I raised this and no apology and my food came back to me luke warm. Unfriendly service, cold food and for the same price you can get double the portion further up the road. I hope this is helpful to the owners.
Was eating my breakfast the other week when the staff were been very rude to a heavy pregnant lady! Refusing to give he space as she didn’t want to put the baby at risk after she asked politely and they refused to serve her! A member of staff even said and I quote “I’ve had to detail with your type all summer!” Shocking disgusting behaviour! It the lady reads this I would advice her to contact The Sun! Avoid this place at all costs they don’t want “our types!”
Not only it the food (and the juice) minging, it's overpriced.
The "freshly squeezed" orange juice came out of the fridge, probably squeezed the night before - and orange juice lovers know it doesn't taste the same!
The hash browns were soaked in oil and the roommate Omelette (I didn't even order for anything difficult!!) Was not seasoned AT ALL!
AVOID.
