Good quality food, staff, and really great coffee. We liked the coffee so much we bought a couple different beans to use at home. Definitely worth a visit over other big chain brands on the high street

I like to support local and family businesses, I really hope this cafe will pass the test of time and find its own path against competitors…To the owners: your shop needs an independent assessment and a plan, as there are loads to improve.. my visit here was disappointing, first because of the quality and presentation of the coffee served - the flat white is a long milky americano, average quality if not less; secondly the shop was a mess, bags everywhere, no organisation, no labels or expiry dates on all those bags and containers , how do you know where is what and how long it’s been there?
We like to endorse independent cafes but shoulda gone to costa and got my coffee stamp mate..
Unfortunately had to bin the coffee after a few sips and wasted 6 pounds. Not only disappointed but feeling sick on my journey back to London...yuk
The lady serving was very cute and very lovely service from her and I am sure if I went back she would have tried again. I dont know what the other reviews are on about.
13 Nov 21 - I went for breakfast here about 7 years ago and I’ve been hankering for one since. Had another one today and oh. my. lord. best brekkie I’ve had in months, maybe years.
Bacon - Elite level, dry cured and crispy fatty bit.
Sausages - Long, fat and scrumptious ????
Eggs - Two and fried to perfection, yolk so gloopy it can be dipped and enjoyed.
Hash Brown - My only grumble would be I could have had a second HOWEVER the one provided was a big fella so ????
Beans - Heinz
Shrooms - Fried properly and not slimy
Coffee - Again, A1 Elite. The couple that run the place know their shiz and we had an Americano that tasted amazing and looked liked an ancient Japanese painting of mountains and a white coffee that made me buy a sack of beans on the way out.
Ignore Asda
Ignore Spoons
Ignore anything else
Really nice food and hot drinks, decorated so amazingly and great hospitality and i would recommend this place
We has three coffees. There is an option between medium and dark roast. My flat white was distinctly average. Milky coffee. Hazelnut latte and mocha were similarly unimpressive. The service was interesting.
A joy to buy a coffee here. Also had a hot sandwich which was substantial and reasonably priced. The place to go for coffee in Shirley.
Not many places you can get level of service like this in Birmingham. I buy my fresh beans from here regularly and the staff are on on hand to help you select coffee to suit your tastes. Coffee is roasted fresh here and be ground or left whole
