Nettes Hotel und nicht weit zu den Pub's.

Overall was fine, the bathroom was quite cold even with the towel rail on, the room didn't have hand towels available so I had to use the bath towels for simple things like handwashing, the toilet pan was always making a dripping noise, the panels of the shower were very aged. There isn't a TV available either. I believe they are just under new ownership so these may be temporary issues. Bar and Restaurant is not there from what I saw. Friendly staff.
Booked by friends I was pleasantly surprised with this boutique style hotel. Great rooms, very friendly staff. We had extra guests to supper and we were all very impressed with the food and the service offered pre cruise. Luggage store. Car parking for the duration. The breakfast was so good we phoned from the ship and went back to the Blue Keys instead of a doing battle on the liner. I would recommend this as a very painless way to start a holiday.
My wife and I held our wedding reception at the hotel on Friday and had the best day we could ever have imagined. A massive thank you to all of the staff involved but a special shout out to Maisie. From the minute I checked in the night before my big day I felt instantly at ease with my surroundings and was very well looked after. My room was spotless and very modern and had everything I could have needed inside. Having never previously stayed at the hotel before, I was very keen to make sure that I was able to decorate as I imagined and taste some food before all of my guests. Dinner was divine, breakfast was delicious and everything in between was superb. Thank you The Blue Keys! from Mrs & Mrs B ❤
Stayed in Dec 17 for one night, as Australians it was nice to see Aussie’s were running the establishment. Breakfast was very good and gentleman serving was brilliant. Rooms were dated, bathroom needed updating. For an old gem, it was a nice find.
Great family run Hotel the rooms were very clean and well stocked with tea and coffee. The bathroom is in need of updating but that is part of the next upgrade we were told. The food was excellent and plenty of it. All and all very good.
Gorgeous hotel sadly let down by the following issues.after a 6 hour drive we were tired and hungry. As this establishment is called a bar and restraunt we were disappointed to be told there would be no food ! The nearest eatery was 10 minutes walk away. We decided on a drink and crisps x we went to bed about half nine as we were knackered. The noise from reception and bar made this impossible. 2 late arrivals woke us after bar closed.
We managed to get a few hours but we're again woken in the early hours by keys clattering at reception and the till going !
The room itself was beautiful but needs to have a soundproof door fitted.
Breakfast was really nice
Wouldn't stay again
A really lovely family owned hotel. I could not complain about anything, restaurant facilities excellent, the bar area is perfect and the bedroom and ensuite was perfect for my two night stay. All of the staff were very courteous and helpful. All in all a great two night stay and when I am next in the area I will definitely be looking at staying here in the Blue Keys Hotel.
