Came across this lovely place whilst cycling up the canal.
Beautiful gluten free cake and coffee so thank you for catering for Coeliacs.
Perfect chilled out rest stop watching the canal goings on.
The place is very pleasant although the rather heavy music choice and huge tv's on the walls don't make for relaxed dining. Had to wait quite a while for our meals as it was quite busy but the food was good quality pub grub and there was a good choice of dishes. Worth a visit.
Staff friendly, service very good. Food has always been excellent. Really enjoy the different terraces, patio etc and the view of the canal lock.
16/10/2022 Another good lunch. Fish and chips were really good with crispy batter. Friendly staff. Lots of beers etc.

Recently refurbished pub. Nicely done so it's comfortable and pleasant atmosphere.
We enjoyed 3 lovely meals. I had the beef pie which is excellent. Really tasty and good chunks of meat. Definitely will be back soon.
Worth a visit.
We had an excellent family lunch here. The food was excellent, the venue attractive and comfortable. The service was outstanding. Andy couldn't do enough for us. We were with our 13 month old grand daughter and everything we needed was promptly attended to. Such a friendly welcome, we'll definitely be back.
After a lovely canal side walk had an enjoyable meal in the restaurant, good lunch menu, not too expensive, friendly staff and good service.
The bar lady was slamming about then greeted us abruptly with what do you want, should have walked out then but continued to order, a gin and tonic for the wife and a morretti for me, they had no ice for the gin, no biggy but then the pint was lifeless and stale, I didn't dare complain to the stroppy bar girl, I managed half the pint and spent the rest of the evening throwing up.
Really disappointed as I'd been looking forward to visiting this pub.
