Early drinks friendly atmosphere.

The Acorn is a traditional English pub. Great staff and locals make it an enjoyable place have a drink and conversation without too much noise. No food though.

Lovely little pub, a real find! We stumbled across it after visiting the area for Screamfest. We were made to feel very welcome, such lovely, lovely people. We will make sure to visit again if ever we are in the area.

The Acorn is a hammerite pub... Does what it says on the tin. This is a traditional drinking pub. Darts, pool, a fruit machine and dominoes. A throwback to simpler times and is an oasis in a world of gastro pubs.

You can sit in the corner with a pint and read a paper or you can join in with the conversation at the time. Friendly welcome in the bar where everyone knows your name!

Been drinking here for 20 years. Quality pint in a Quality pub.
