Ok, yes I'll admit it really doesn't look great from the outside...and to be honest the inside could really do with a spruce up too

However, the food is absolutely superb, easily some of the best Thai I've eaten.

I started with prawn crackers...which is testimony to how good they are as I normally detest the overly oily and weirdly fizzy abominations; however, these are crisp, fairly dry and absolutely delicious.

Moving on to the mixed starter which was equally delicious and clearly made fresh that day.

Mains was a beef massaman and garlic rice, again it was delicious, rich and creamy but not sickly or overly sweet.

The owners are the chef (she came out the kitchen and was really enthusiastic about her food...a good sign) and her husband who is front of house, both are friendly and talkative.

Price wise it's incredibly good value, in fact they could probably charge more and it'd still be good value.

Well worth visiting.

Sheltered, almost hidden away from the busy streets and beach front of Scarborough, lies an unassuming restaurant/takeaway which serves the nicest Thai green curry, and sticky rice I've ever had.

My partner and I are both vegetarian, and to our delight, the entire menu can be swapped for both vegetarian and vegan options.

Many, if not all shop and homemade tofu options I've tried seem to fall into the old same boring texture and taste as the next. However the tofu served here, specially in my Thai green curry, had the most amazing texture, with amazing flavours following throughout.

The best tofu I've ever eaten, and will be one of thr reasons I want to and will visit Thai Smile every time I'm near Scarborough.

And not even mentioning the amazing value!

You would be hard pressed to find better food in Scarborough. Exceptional quality, freshly cooked and well presented. Incredible authentic Thai flavours and tofu options too. It's probably best as a takeaway but we enjoyed eating in the unfussy restaurant and enjoyed their friendly service.

Going to be a regular eatery now we've moved here, and we feel very fortunate!

Beautiful little bistro, they opened a bit later than usual today but we decided to hang around and wait and we were so glad we did. We were very happy when we were told everything on the menu could be made to be vegetarian. The staff and customer service was excellent, we got the thai green curry with tofu, pad prew wan with tofu and sticky rice which tasted amazing, clean plates all round, and there was lots of other delicious food on the menu so we will definately be coming back again to try more and will be recomending to friends

Very authentic and delicious Thai food. Got the mixed starter which was really good, even the satay sauce was very nice. Had a fried rice with roasted duck and vegetables and really liked it. It had a small kick and the meat was soft and juicy. Another fried rice with pineapple and cashew nuts was good too. I was not sure it’s a takeaway or restaurant, that said the staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Nice restaurant with a homely feel. Very friendly staff and very conscious about customer service - turned people away because they were slightly short-staffed and didn't want existing customers to have to wait longer. The food was very authentic (I've been to Thailand) and delicious. Definitely worth booking in advance. Vegetable spring rolls were lovely.

It was not clear you could make reservations so we ordered take away, got some wooden cutlery (included) and took it down to the beach. Turns out seagulls won't bother you for spicy delicious Thai food. Good tom yum soup. Excellent price. Would recommend.
