Amazing fish & chips. Really tasty & well done. However 45 mins for the wait is ridiculous. The staff looked seriously over worked. There seems to be too many orders coming in from online & to collect. I understand they are trying their best & they say there is a wait time but they need a bigger kitchen and more staff. However, amazing food, the homemade garlic sauce is the best I’ve tasted!
The portions are generous and the service was great! The lady serving was a great laugh, and then the food when we got it home was banging! Thank you
Awesome fish & chips, caters for gluten and Dairy Free. My kids are allergic not too many places cater. This Fish & chip shop was all over it.
A true gem of a fish & chip shop, fish was fresh, crispy, good batter, chips were chunky and soft and fluffy in the middle.. A plus squid and Prawn on the menu. Defo will be going back.
Great fish and chips although had to wait a while for the food, when we got back the food was still nice and warm. Looked clean inside and staff was very polite and helpful. Will be back very soon for some more great food.
Amazing fish & yummy chips, we’d drive from Freshwater to taste this fish & chip on a Sunday. Worth the drive for us and fully enjoyed! Nice and clean place, must try and highly recommended when you’re anywhere in Isle of Wight ???? kind and lovely service!!!
Came into day with my daughters, just before closing after lunch time trade. The fish was still very fresh along with the chips and sausages. Lovely size portions and service with a smile ????
We had wanted traditional fish and chips whilst we were here for our stay. We had read good reviews about Stotesburys and they are not wrong. Phenomenal is the best way to describe the food. Batter is light and the chips crispy. The wife to be says the best fish and chips she has had in ages! Staff great. Its cash only but there is a number if cash machines on the corner. If you are in Newport or close then its definitely worth a visit.
Best fish and chip shop ever
Best fish and chip shop with many gluten free options (call 30 mins in advance for things other than chips). We will always visit this place when we are at the Isle of wight. It has become a tradition which we enjoy every time. They cater so well for celiac disease and even the pickled onions are gluten free, which is hard to find these days! The owner and staff are very aware of any allergy intolerance and its always a friendly atmosphere. Portion sizes are excellent for a good price too. Thank you for being the best fish and chip place around and we will be back soon!
