Hands down some of the best fish and chips I have tasted. cooked well, not overdone. Chips are golden fluffy in the middle, not soggy. Fish batter is crispy and the cod tastes great. None of it was greasy, my mrs loved the curry sauce!!
Very good fish & chips. Good portions of nicely cooked battered cod plus all the usual chipshop favourites. Kebabs are decent and the staff are friendly.
Parking is on the double yellows but I live 2mins walk away so I don't care.
Usually fish and chips are nice here but last time we had large cod we were disappointed - very dry, hardly warm and not large. We will give it another try but if it is the same poor quality, we won't be coming back.
I should give a one star review for the fact these guys are the reason I've put on about 2 stone in the last year! Lol amazing food, very friendly staff. You could see them as being over priced at first glance but the amount of food and quality you get is second to none. The large chips could honestly feed two adults. Their normal cod is HUGE (8-10inches)
Compare these to another somewhat local chipshop (I don't want to name and shame but they're counted as 'local Legends' on just eat)whose large chips was slightly larger than a standard chips portion and whose cod was a little larger than 5 inches you'll see you get what you paid for.
The only negative is because they're so popular there is always a biggish queue lol but they're worth the wait. ❤️
Amazing fish and chips x2 from here Saturday on carnival eveing.
Loved how the fish was boxed together and the chips. Huge portion. My daughters cheesy chips were 10/10 too. Will be back next year
Love this place! Haven't been for some time since we moved out of the area, but I'm over the moon to say, things are still as excellent as they always were.
Excellent staff and excellent food. Very popular. Well worth a visit. The premises are extremely clean.
Best chip shop around best place for a Kebab aswell it tastes so fresh,not greasy like other takeaways,salad is fresh,chips are really nice and a wide variety of other food. Staff are friendly,premises is really clean. If you haven’t gone here before I suggest you do ????
