They are very racist, the way the store owner was hovering over my 2 & 4 year old ready to attack them was very frightening. Not to mention intentionally blocking us in the store, I feared for me & my kids safety . The most uncomfortable shopping experience of my life & I will never spend money there again .

Star Beauty Supply is well stocked and their products are reasonably priced. But...the older Asian couple are very, very unfriendly and very suspicious of everyone who patronizes the store. They are just rude, nasty and not very welcoming. Needless to say I will take my business elsewhere.

I recently visited this store with a couple of friends. Both were not black but I am. I read the reviews prior and decided to go to “you & I beauty supply” and it’s actually this place. Immediately by walking in, the man stops me while browsing and says I need to keep my bag on the counter while I shopped. My friend had the same bag and was not approached. I agreed because I didn’t want to cause a scene and mention how we had the same sized bag. After I agreed he left my ítems there for anyone to take and kept looking at me while I browsed the store but not at my friends. If you’re afraid of customers stealing then add cameras, but targeting young black youth off a stereotype or one incident is disgusting. Do better. Thankfully the woman who rung us up was respectful and kind. I will not be returning.

I’ve been reading the reviews posted here and I never tend to do this but I think that many people are exaggerating. They are scared of stealing, which is understandable because some of the hair can be worth a good amount of money. Nothing that I thought was over-barring. I’ve shopped there multiple times for all different reasons and I, much like anyone else, have had to give up large bags and place them in the front counter. It can get to be annoying if you were going in and out. But that is the way they insure that nothing could be stolen. Overall, I’ve been happy with the items I have purchased for both the quality and the price.

Always watch you while you’re trying to shop and they treat you as if you’ve stolen from them before, they made me feel highly uncomfortable. Definitely DO NOT recommend you shop here.

Best hair store in south baton rouge. They have really good quality but cheap synthetic wigs. The lashes are also cheap there for good quality. Great if your in the LSU area.

The employees are very sweet, helped a few customers of when I was looking for a few things, absolutely coming again!

racially profiled other customers while i was in there and asked them if they were stealing and it made me incredibly uncomfortable. do not support this store.
