I was craving for Korean food, and Soyami was what Google recommended. We went here at the weekend. They open at 12:00. The place is in the town centre, with access to many shops. The lady who served us was amiable; she made sure that our orders were placed and we don’t run out of side dishes. The food we ordered was their bbq set meal, with unlimited side dishes! And i was so ecstatic because this was the first restaurant that i have been to that offered endless side dishes. Their bbq set was also delicious and mouth-watering. We also ordered their sweet n sour tofu- I was not really in awe of the sweet n sour tofu. Aside from that, everything was fantastic and made my stomach full and happy! ☺️
Amazing food. The chef cooked it fresh for us! The price was great and it was really quick. I will definitely be returning!
Absolute little gem and well worth a try. The Salt and pepper Calamari starter and the Katsu prawns were really good and the BBQ platter was full of flavour and so much fun to cook in a group.
Make some time to pay this place a visit you will not be disappointed!

So happy we gave Soyami a try....we are very fussy with Asian cuisine and always worry it'll be usual ready made and cheap ingredients -- Soyami offers quality dishes for a decent price! The prawns are fresh and even included the coveted flavour most Westerners are not used to...they offer a quicker lunch menu but recommend their evening menu more. They have put thought into their main Menu dishes...we had the crispy squid and Seafood Ramen for a late lunch and staff are very friendly without being in your face...... cannot wait to try the Korean BBQ .... Happy to say Best Asian food in Newbury!

Still going strong and we had one of our best meals today, BibImbap was on point! Proper hot dolsot bowl meant you get the crispy rice at the bottom, and beef was properly flavoured. Also had Duck Ramen and so happy with the tender duck slices, great stock and better noodles as not overcooked. Look forward to our next visit !

We love the lady that works Front of House and all round staff/service. Always has a smile for the customers and knows the dishes. She's been here since Soyami opened and she's as cheerful as the day they opened. The place is so much better because of her.
Being coeliac it can be difficult to find many gluten-free dishes at restaurants. However, at Soyami the chef came to our table to explain which dishes could be adapted to be gluten-free. The dishes we chose were all excellent, as was the service. We'll definitely return !

If you expect to enjoy real Korean food, the restaurant is not for you.
