I’ve been going here off and on for over a decade. Two things have been consistent, your hair WILL look good and it WILL hurt. I appreciate they have 2 braiders working on your head for smaller braids and twist to get you out faster. The work is VERY neat. Every seems to get along and laugh together. My only issue is they braid your hair using their whole body weight so it’s REALLY tight. Prices are VERY competitive compared to other shops as well
It's just ridiculous we come looking for someone to do two braided ponytails for my 9 year old daughter they said $100.00. if that wasn't bad enough they tried to tell us what my daughter would prefer for the $100.00. I think I could get some box braids for that price for my 9 year old daughter. Anyways I say charge your worth so we can not complain but don't try to tell us what we should get for the price we paying ‼️
I've been here several times but today is the reason I definitely wont be back. I got here at 8 with my 2 girls. They started right away on my oldest and said someone would be in shortly for my baby. Shortly turned to 945. When she got there I showed her the pic, she said no problem. I left and came back and my baby was just sitting in the chair and they tell me " I cant braid her hair it's too soft. Mind you my baby been getting braids.
Then an hour later the dark skinned sika comes in and says she can do my baby hair but when she found out that I was given a different price she says "Oh how old is your baby?" I said 4 she says oh I dont do four year olds hair take her somewhere else and left my baby head looking a hot mess

1.The ladies are skilled and quick.
2. Many women work here so on more time consuming styles, more than one will work to shorten the time.
3. They sale hair, and will prewash it if necessary
4. I'm always complimented on my hair after getting it done.
Dislikes
1. They braid Unnecessarily and Unreasonably hard.
2. You may not ever get the same braider if you have a favorite... You may never see her again (I didnt)
3. They (on my first visit) we're very disorganized. Even though I showed up at opening when I was told to, many of the braidera Were Not There Yet and I still had to wait An Hour to begin.
Needs to be a little more organized and communication on the wait time. Let people sign in with their arrival time and let them know how will be working on you and the estimated wait time. In that case people can go do what they need to do and return it it's more than a 45 min to 2 hour wait!!!
As you know this is the best hair braiding spot in clay Co. If you don't already know go and get your hair done from sika's hair braiding. I've been coming here for over 10 years now and I've always been happy and excited about my hair.
Horrible experience! They lady who braided my hair, clearly needs to retire and either didn't listen to me or didn't understand me because what I got was definitely not what I asked for! I was at Sika from 12:30 pm - 9 pm. I asked & paid for small Senegalese twist but got micro twist & entirely way too much hair added to the twists. I looked like I should be auditioning for the Lion King. The service was slow, subpar & I stayed up most of the night taking down the way too tight & expensive braids I paid for. I made a $180 donation to the shop for braids I didn't wear for 24 hrs. My head was throbbing & I couldn't sleep comfortably! I repeatedly asked the lady to stop braiding my hair so tightly and she just ignored me. I have NEVER had such a bad experience & have never felt more compelled to give a review.
They were very friendly, attentive, & competent in doing the exact hair design that I had selected, & they didn't even demand payment until they were finished, & I confirmed that I was satisfied! Great 6raiding Shop! I'm Definitely Going 6ack There Again!
