We ate there for the first time today. The food was really good, the service was excellent and the atmosphere nostalgic. It brings to mind the old time restaurant, lounge, pool hall atmosphere. Yet, it does not have pool tables, nor does it appear to serve alcohol (don't quote me on that, I did not ask). There was classic country music playing at just the right volume!! I hate to eat at a place that has music blaring so loud that it's impossible to carry on a conversation. I can't tolerate freezing and shaking while I eat either. The temperature was pleasant here, neither too hot nor cold. All things taken together, a very nice experience. We will go back.
Not fast food... Not fast service, but it's good.
In and out in 50min for a BBQ sandwich and slaw. Nothing needs to be cooked to order and still made me late... Nothing spectacular...
But it was good.
Visited again April 2019 - nice young man waited on us, I ordered a pork bbq salad which was really good. I'm stickimg with their bbq from now on. So tender! My friend ordered the hamburger steak & said it was a little salty but otherwise he really enjoyed it.
If you like a lean burger & marinated steak you will love Shirley's Mainline. I haven't tried their ribs yet, but I will another time. My neighbor who was with me LOVED their hamburger steak. They have great fries, baked potatoes, and salad - and the young man who waited on us was very attentive.
Staff was wonderful, and the food would have been great had my BBQ sauce been on the side like I asked. But we are all human and mistakes happen.
Great food. Fast service I will definitely stop again if in this area!
Went to Shirley's Mainline BBQ tonight. Was looking forward to a great tender juicy steak like we've gotten there before. Well, not tonight. Worst food ever. After an hour and 15 minutes, waitress came out and said baked potatoes would be another 20 minutes, would we like another side....I told Randy I was not waiting another 20 minutes. He asked her if our steaks were already done. She said yes. So we got crinkle fries. Steaks were about burnt and full of grissle. We should've gotten up and walked out like several other people did. Will never go back. Between bad service and bad food.....it certainly wasn't worth $43.00. Just my opinion.
Was gonna eat there for the 1st time in forever. I called after they closed of course but I did offer them extra to cook my food. But what they don't know is they would have got 50 dollars each plus me paying for my meal. Merry Christmas.
Went to steak night last night. The steak was good and had a nice marinade. The salad was very small, The potato was good. The slice of toasted bread was ok. I got a piece of buttermilk pie to go. When I got home I found it to be ridiculously small and was not good. I would like to respectfully suggest that the salad be enlarged, the bread be improved and the pie maker be fired. I was surprised that there were only a few people on Friday night. Trinity the server was good.
