Lisa did a wonderful job on my 7 year old daughter’s hair. She was patient & kept asking cute questions to her. My daughter was playing minekraft on the screen & Lisa was answering all her questions/ queries. We also donated 12 inch of my daughters hair. I’ll visit again
Great experience with Jessica today. Our son had his first haircut. He was a wiggler, but she remained patient & his hair looks awesome!
Been there before and they done a great job but this time around they did a terrible job the person that cut my sons hair did like a skin fade in one side and like a regular fade on the other and the back is messed up 2
I spent 3 years growing out my hair for my daughter's Girl Scout troop. Wigs for Kids listed this location as having hair donation specialists, and I was assured of this by the scheduler whom I made an appointment with. Arriving on the day of, however, was a major letdown. The "specialist" Aysah, had no idea what she was doing, was coughing regularly with no mask, and exuded an attitude of not wanting to be there. I tried to explain that I wanted everything on my head donated - I wanted to leave bald. Wigs for Kids donation guidelines explain that 4-6+ pony tails should be made with rubber bands close to the scalp so nothing is wasted. Aysah instead resolved to only band 2 ponytails down at my neck - which would have wasted most of my hair and reduced the length of the donation from about 2 feet to only 12 inches. Fortunately I bailed just as she was about to cut my ponytail in half, and as I got up she and the other stylists chalked it up to me "chickening out". On the other hand, my daughter's stylist, Heather, was phenomenal but still unfamiliar with Wigs for Kids, so I ended up having to take her hair donation home to ensure it was banded and shipped properly to the right charity. What really got my goat about Aysah - after all the issues I had - was how she treated the little girl behind me. The girl wanted to sit in the firetruck in the boys section that was entirely empty, but Aysah wouldn't let her and instead made her sit in a girl car she didn't like as much - all while coughing on the poor girl continually throughout her cut. When my daughter's hair was finished and looked fabulous, Heather said she could get her nails painted too, but with Aysah unmasked and coughing throughout the area next to nail painting table, that was AN ABSOLUTE NO GO. Considering Aysah's behavior, and the indifference to that behavior from the rest of the staff, we will not be returning. I will also be reaching out to Wigs for Kids to have Sharkey's locations removed from their list of hair donation specialists. If you are reading this and a lack of covid protocol doesn't bother you, then book an appointment with Heather.
My daughter really enjoyed her first visit here! She was very comprehensive at first but the lady who did her hair made her feel very comfortable so she really enjoyed her experience. We did have an appointment so we got right in as well.
I have a one year old & I usually take him to Cookie Cutters in Fullerton, but decided to check this place out since its closer to me. As soon as I got there the receptionist was not friendly or welcoming, she seemed mad. An Asian lady (didn't get her name) began to cut my sons hair & she was not being gentle. My son started crying & she just kept going. She would grab my sons head for him not to move. She didn't have no patience, idk why she works with kids. She ended up messing my sons hair. Lisa approached us & she was really friendly & tried to calm my baby. I ended up telling her if she could cut his hair. She tried to fix his hair, but by that time my son wasn't having it anymore . Ive never had this problem when I go to Cookie Cutters, my son always enjoys it. NEVER coming here again.
Over the service, the staff and the price! Cute and fun experience for the kids. Took both my daughters and they made them feel like princesses. This is the only place my girls are getting their hair done!
I absolutely love this place and highly recommend it! I especially recommend Jessica James! She was patient, kind outstanding and understanding with my autistic daughter. She was explaining everything she was doing as she worked on my daughter's hair to help her calm down. After her haircut, she did a headband braid, accessorized her braid with a cute barrette, gave my daughter a little mani and a cute ring. My daughter loved it, said she felt like a princess.????❤ I am a customer for life!

Quick Facts About Sharkey's Cuts For Kids

Sharkey's Cuts For Kids has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. It is important to consider these factors before making a decision about visiting the salon.
One of the strengths mentioned is the patience and friendliness of the stylists. Customers have praised Lisa and Jessica for their patience with children and for creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience. They took the time to answer questions and make the children feel at ease. This is a crucial strength for a salon that specializes in children's haircuts, as children can often be wiggly and apprehensive during haircuts.
Another strength mentioned is the quality of the haircuts. Many customers have expressed satisfaction with the end result and have praised the stylists for their skills. They have mentioned that their children's hair looked awesome and fabulous after the haircut. This indicates that the stylists are competent and able to meet customer expectations in terms of the final look.
The opportunity for hair donation is also mentioned as a strength. Customers appreciate the fact that the salon offers the option to donate hair, and some have specifically mentioned the stylists' knowledge and expertise in handling hair donations. This is important for customers who have grown out their hair for a specific cause and want to ensure that their hair is properly donated.
However, there are also some weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One common complaint is inconsistency in the quality of haircuts. While some customers have had positive experiences, others have mentioned that their children's haircuts were not done properly. They have mentioned issues such as uneven fades and messed up backs. This indicates that there may be a lack of consistency among the stylists, which can be a drawback for customers looking for reliable and consistent service.
Another weakness mentioned is the customer service and attitude of some staff members. One customer mentioned feeling unwelcome by the receptionist, while another mentioned that the stylist who initially cut her son's hair was rough and lacked patience. This can create a negative experience for customers and deter them from returning to the salon.
In addition, one customer expressed dissatisfaction with the handling of a hair donation. They mentioned that the "specialist" who was supposed to handle the donation was inexperienced and did not follow proper guidelines. The customer had to take the hair donation home and handle it themselves. This indicates a lack of expertise and knowledge in handling hair donations, which can be a disappointment for customers who specifically chose the salon for this purpose.
Lastly, there are mentions of COVID-19 safety protocols not being followed by some staff members. Customers have mentioned seeing stylists without masks and coughing without covering their mouths. This is a major concern in the current climate and can be a dealbreaker for customers who prioritize safety.
In conclusion, Sharkey's Cuts For Kids has strengths such as patient and friendly stylists, quality haircuts, and the option for hair donation. However, there are weaknesses such as inconsistency in haircut quality, poor customer service and attitude from some staff members, lack of expertise in hair donations, and potential safety concerns regarding COVID-19 protocols. It is important for potential customers to consider these factors and decide whether the strengths outweigh the weaknesses for their individual needs.
