As someone from the black country orange chips are so hard to find! On holiday here and to say my face light up with excitement was a understatement. Definitely would recommend.
Scoff's fish and chip shop/ restaurant. In the centre of Barnstaple town,is where you will find probably some of the best food anywhere. Always served up with a free cup of Yorkshire tea. I'd say that's hard to beat.
If you are on a free from diet such as Vegan or wheat free then you may not be dietary safe so check first and all food outlets should supply the demand for free from foods ????%
Very friendly staff, they recognize my parents who get "the usual" when they visit. Fish and chips were delicious. The chips are unusual - not greasy and with a little bit of a crunch to the outside. Several tables to sit at to eat if required. The place was also very clean and bright. Portions we're a good size too. Note they are cash only, no credit cards. Highly recommended.

Scoffs chips are the best, and they people are so lovely in there too. I never go anywhere else, and when my family come to visit from different corners of the UK, they always remember having scoffs and it has become an event taking them there each time they visit.
A REAL TREAT! Lovely and helpful employees. Chips were gorgeous and fluffy on the inside and had a unique crispy outer coating - I wish I got an XL!
Absolutely amazing chips. How do they get them to taste so good?!! Tried a free sample as I walked past and walked around the town for 10 minutes to make room for some to eat ???? reasonably priced too considering how tasty they are.
