Very welcoming salon. I was a walk in and was placed with Alisa. She listened to what I wanted and did a great job too! I love my new haircut!! My Mom goes her too and loves it. She has a different lady that does her hair, but it always looks great. Keep up the good work ladies!

Love this salon! The entire staff is really friendly and not bad prices either! I bring my entire family in when it's time for a trim. Caroline is my favorite and I won't let anyone else touch my hair. She is an artist when it comes to hair color and she always does such an amazing job.
This was a very unprofessional experience on more than one occasion. I have had two appointments here and neither one of the ladies can blend men’s haircuts well at all or are just too lazy to do it. There mirrors are set far from the chair and the lighting is bad so you will not see the serious imperfections until you have left. I’m sure they see it. Rush jobs and poor quality.
This is a awesome place to get your hair and eyebrows done! I have used several of their people for hair and one girl for eyebrows! I always see ladies of all ages. Everyone is kind and friendly, with a smile on their face They are located in a easy to find location! And they take walk-ins
I highly recommend Mrs. Linda for eyebrows. Mine grow extremely thick and crazy and she is one of the only people I've ever had do them perfect. She isn't afraid to remove enough.
Everything about this place is trashy: the building, the equipment, the smell, and especially the employees (except for maybe one or two individuals). When I think of this business, the three words that come to my mind are: outdated, backwards, and unkempt.
Obviously price depends more on who you get to cut/style your hair, but I have only found one stylist who is reasonable enough NOT to charge me $20+ for the most basic of trims (it takes <2 minutes to trim my dead ends). I suppose the price is fairly decent in comparison to other places if you're getting a lot of things done, but if you just need a trim to keep your hair healthy, then I would keep looking around.
They've also adopted a "cash only" policy so unless you schedule an appointment with/choose a stylist that has their own portable online payment kiosk (which the employees have to pay for themselves), then your payment options are extremely limited.
Aside from price and atmosphere, the employees here are less than pleasant. So unless you enjoy being surrounded by bitter old women who breed ignorance and hate, then this simply isn't the place for you.
My name is Talor, and I was born and raised in West Monroe. I am not a “local tour guide,” and I personally don’t care whether you take this review to heart, but I Do believe that people should give credit where credit is due. I have been going to Russel’s for as long as I can remember because that’s where my family started going when I was a child. I will continue going and requesting the only stylist there that doesn’t price gouge until I find a different salon to go to.
Stylist are all very nice and friendly. There are stylist at Russell's who are very good with children haircuts. Uppermost..... Russell's has a staff of stylist who are very talented and know what they're doing as far as hair is concerned!! They are not magicians of course, but I always leave looking lots better than when I went in :)
