Great staff, amazing brownies and good coffee.
Had a lovely coffee & cake with my son, very nice. Could with someone clearing cups and dishes plus a table wipe. But cake and coffee was good.
staff were lovely. it was very noisy due to a coffee grinder continually on, also very cold, due to doors being open. it was extremely cold outside and not much warmer inside
The staff are really friendly and extremely helpful. The coffee is lovely and really well presented even in this strange time post Covid shutdown. I had the Eggs Benedict and it was amazing, really well presented on the plate and the Hollandaise sauce was delicious and the whole dish tasted absolutely divine. I can't wait to come here again and share the place with family and friends.
Lovely dog friendly café, reasonably priced drinks (at least my hot chocolate was ☺️). And the small outdoor seating area was well kept
I would like to make a comment about profit over loyalty here. As a regular customer to Rubens , i use there loyalty cards. however you need to spend up to 20 pound to get a free coffee . This seems a lot even for a regular . Like so many Cafe's they want to make as much money as possible.
We usually visit the place regularly and they are usually good but not for this occasion. Ordered pancake but it came very late and so doughey so had to take it back. They offered me waffle instead but didn't want it so I was expecting my money back but didn't get it not impressed at all.
