Friendly and accommodating. We arrived as they were packing up and with bikes - still let us eat in and bring our bikes in. Delicious fish and chips!

Not my personal review, but saw named and shamed on Facebook for this. There was a video that showed the juices weren't clear. This takeaway is going to kill people.

What happened to this place? New owners and staff? Not the best fish and chips I've ever had, fish tasty a bit strange certainly not fresh!

Chips were also quite chewy is this normal??? Large fish and chips gone up to £10 now not really good enough tbh!

had to give 1 star as wouldn't not let me give none which I feel they deserve. Ordered fish and chips at 4.30 and didn't arrive, called at 6 and said I had been waiting for an hour and a half to be basically called a lier and that I had not waited that long even though I had the email as prove. Never ordering again from here and don't advise anyone else to either as they take forever to deliver if they ever turn up!!!! Thank God I didn't pay by card as they would have my money too.

I had a craving for fish and chips but have struggled since being gluten free.

I phoned up to ask and was really pleased when they said they could accommodate me. The batter was so light and crispy - wonderful, thank you!

About a year ago was really nice. Then I didn't know if it was going downhill, but the chips are absolutely grim now. Tiny mushy pea pots for the same price, sausage rubbery but for me the chips are just disgusting now.

Rock and salt was good but I think they have changed owners cos the curry sauce pot has gone from a 7oz cup to a 4oz but price the same. And the chips now in a box and portions sizes have got smaller large cod is like a small now. Better when Portuguese owned it!

I have ordered from here so many times and it has been perfect, but I don't know what gone on of late.

Ordered from then via Uber Eats again as per our usual Friday night. It is standard that they always forget the drinks, so we just stopped ordering them. This time round we forgot and ordered drinks and they didn't show up plus they were missing a saveloy, so half my dinner was not there.

To cut a long story short, called the restaurant and the response i got was ''well that not true cause i literally packed the order myself'' anyway they decided to send the drinks and the sav out to us. Promised 10 mins to get and to be fair to them they got here quick.

I would never stop using them if I were ordering over the counter, but we have now made a pact to stop ordering for takeout from there completely.

I think if someone had just apologised then I would not have been so taken back.
