Had a really enjoyable fish and chip meal here this evening. Large portions and very good value. The toilets were down some fairly steep stairs which might be a problem for some. Service was generally good and the restaurant was quite popular despite the dull and cool weather. We would happily eat here again.
Lovely tasting fresh fish and tasty chips. Unfortunately they do not do mushy peas which is a bit disappointing and also they do fake tasting cheap Cola that is the same prices as cocoa cola very unimpressive

The food choice is excellent and all the staff are the most proffesional and polite staff you will ever come across, I have been visiting this restaurant for many years, give it a try.
I have dietary requirements that stops me from having the obvious fish and chips on the sea front. I choose this restaurant because the menu was varied for all of us. They were warm and welcoming and very helpful. I choose the roast dinner. Now it says on the menu it came with "fresh vegetables". Tinned carrots, frozen broccoli and cauliflower is not what I define as fresh. The lemon meringue pie was a shop bought. The chicken was the only good thing I ate. Everybody else on my table was fine with their food, which was mainly fried
It was August Bank Holiday Monday for a lunchtime meal. Pretty packed! Food and drinks came without delay and we're really good. I had the Gammon & Chips which were really nice. Recommended.
We had a great meal. great value for money. The homemade Steak pie and gravy was wonderful. Staff were very polite and helpful. Was only out for a Sunday drive but well worth a stop.
Ordered fish and chips with a prawn cocktail starter.
My starter came with my main meal - despite specifically stating I wanted this as a starter.
My friend ordered the roast chicken dinner - plate was full of food - but everything kept falling off the plate as it was way too small??
Fish (cod) was cooked really well.
Not bad ambiance - but wouldn’t return.
