I stopped in Righteous Cuts on a Sunday afternoon with my 5 year old who absolutely hates getting his hair cut. We've never been to this barber shop before.

A young man who cuts in the middle chair (I didn't catch his name) said he would take my son and allowed him to hop right in his seat.

The barber took his time cutting and shaping yet it didnt take long at all. He was quick and attentive. He wasn't talkative but we didn't mind because my kid was knee deep into a game on my cell phone.

When he finished the cut, he asked me was I happy with it? It looked great! He did an excellent job! He charged only $20 (cheaper than I've ever paid). I gave him $40, thanked him for taking us so quickly and doing a phenomenal job with my kid.

The shop was in good shape and there were plenty of seats available.

(Best part) My kid sat still, laughed through some of the cut and was super happy it went by quickly. (This alone is priceless).

I’m new to the area and visited this barbershop twice, with two drastically different experiences. The barber was about 10 minutes late getting me into the chair for my first appointment, but gave me a great haircut after being shown the picture for my standard cut.

My second visit was for 9:15 and it was almost 9:45 before he finished servicing two other clients and began my haircut — what’s the point of the appointment? I requested the same haircut as the previous week, with a bit more taken off the top. I’m not sure if he was rushing (because another appointment walked in even before he began cutting my hair), if he was distracted by his phone constantly ringing, or what the issue was, but he absolutely butchered my head! The sides were taken WAY to far back, choppy, and uneven. The back had patches and was not cleaned up, at all. The requested fade was non-existent, aside from my butchered sideburns.

I let the barber know he’d messed up my hairline and sideburns, and asked if he could fix the patches because there was nothing we could do at that point about him taking too much off. He said he was “trying to help me out to make it last longer and thought it looked good” which is most certainly not an acceptable response to unsatisfied, paying customer. Needless to say, I had to pay another barber to salvage what he could and won’t be back to this barbershop. If sanitization is a concern, skip this shop. He wears gloves, but doesn’t change them between clients and doesn’t sanitize his chair between clients either.

This has been the most positive experience I have lived getting my haircut, I won't go anywhere else now. Every time, all the barbers nail what I am looking for. I am confident I will look amazing when I walk out of the shop no matter who is working on me. Thank you all for everything, looking forward to returning!

I explained EXACTLY what I wanted and dis not get anything close. It was supposed to be a regular fade. Now I have a baldie and he didnt even give me a clean shape up. It looks TERRIBLE and I have an event to attend. I shouldnt have paid but lucky for them everyone will know where I got mg hair cut. In AND out of state. JUST GO NEXT DOOR!!!

I went there based off of reviews. I was fortunate to get an appointment because it was back to school hair cuts. When I came there, it was small but clean. The Barber who cut my hair (Brandon) was good, but used alot of Beijing to cover my receding hairline....which is okay, but he used alot. Plus it was slanted and took the left side of side temple back to far.

Since I starting getting my hair cut here it has been an awesome experience. They take their time and very detailed to make sure you look good before getting out that chair. Trust and believe me I’ll be back again. I highly recommend folks to get there cuts done here. #SupportBlackbusinesses

I waited last minute to get my son's hair cut for the first day of school. I went to an old school barber, thinking he might know a thing or two. That was my mistake. He screwed my son's hair up so bad. I googled another barber shop in a hurry and decided to come here. Basir gave my son exactly what he was looking for and he left with the biggest smile on his face. He kept checking himself out in the car on the way home. That's exactly how you should feel when you leave a barber shop! Basir was awesome. Great conversation, good vibes and a perfect cut. We couldn't ask for more.

This is hands down the best barbershop that I’ve taken my son to. Lamont is incredibly professional and a highly skilled barber. He squeezes us in on short notice and is a positive influence for young men. He always has an encouraging word to share. Righteous cuts is top notch!
