I came here a couple of times freshman (I am senior now) year and I did not like it at all. My friends never went back, but I did sometimes for the price and convenience. However, I was never satisfied with the haircuts so I usually went somewhere else. However, recently they hired Joe and he is phenomenal! I even wait an extra hour sometimes just so I can get him to cut my hair. He is awesome and I would recommend any new freshman or someone looking for a new barber to go to him. I been going to Ray's Barber Shop every two weeks since he first cut my hair. He is the only barber I tell my friends to and that I trust. I don't really like giving reviews but I am giving Ray's Barber Shop a five star because it helped me find someone reliable to cut my hair often. Thanks Joe!

Went here on a whim with my long hair, in need of a fresh cut for a new job I had started. The barbers were extremely friendly and the shop had a great atmosphere. Probably one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten. One note: they only accept cash.
This place is great. Not only was Loyd great to talk to, he did a great job cutting my hair. This place has a great old school vibe that really makes it feel like a real barbershop not one of those chains that can never get it right. I definitely intend on returning and look forward to the next time I need my hair cut.

Ray's is GREAT. I've been to all the barbers that work there, and they are all skilled, do a great job, and friendly. The price is great too. I've been going there for years. The location is very close to ASU. Can't go wrong w/ Ray's
Absolutely awful. They completely messed up my hair right before a big interview. I didn't ask for anything crazy or complicated, and I don't know how they did it, but they messed it up worse than anyone else ever has. The lines were messy, uneven, and jagged. Please trust me, never go here. Never. The haircut I got here was so bad that when I went to go get it redone at another place afterwards, they were astonished. Told me as they were going over the sides with a #3 again that it was uneven and some places were cutting and some weren't. Barber at other place asked me how long the barber at Ray's spent on my hair, guessed it was completely rushed. Also, cut my ear and neck. I know accidents happen, but cmon... Definitely won't be going back there ever again. Besides all of this, they were quit friendly. Just not good at giving a haircut.
Fast, friendly, best cut in my 38 year life!
(Update: I am now 40, and my son and I are still going to Ray's! I didn't realize that they were closed on Mondays so I tried Cut-Rite down the road... let's just say you can read my review of that place over there.... I'm stickin' with Ray's!)
